Behind the Build| Episode 4.5: Racking

In this update, the custom racking system begins taking shape at our new Langley Design Centre. It may not be the most glamorous stage of construction, but careful measuring, planning and installation now will help keep the finished space functional, organized and ready for everything still to come.

It’s another behind-the-scenes look at the many layers involved in bringing a large commercial space to life—complete with sparks flying, plenty of teamwork and Graeme keeping a close eye on the details.

Proof that practical can still have plenty of personality. ✨

This bathroom is all about the details working together: warm wood cabinetry, bold black accents, softly patterned wall tile and a geometric floor that brings just the right amount of playfulness.

The extra-long double vanity gives everyone room to spread out, while the vertical sconces create even, flattering light on both sides of the mirrors. And tucked beside the window, the freestanding tub offers a quiet place to soak with a view.

Beautiful? Absolutely. But every detail was also chosen to make the space work better for everyday life—and that’s where thoughtful design really shines.

You have to see the before to fully appreciate this transformation. Swipe to watch this home become almost unrecognizable. ➡️

What was once an outdated interior is now a bold, modern home designed with warmth, contrast and striking architectural details.

The statement fireplace sets the tone, while the custom hood fan echoes its shape and finish to create a visual connection between the kitchen and living space. Dark brown cabinetry adds richness, and the dramatic black-and-white marble countertop becomes the centrepiece of the kitchen.

Behind the Build | Episode 4.4: Air Barrier

Not every air barrier is about keeping weather out. Sometimes it's about keeping one space from affecting another.

In our Design Centre, the warehouse and production area needed its own air barrier, sealed specifically so dust and particles from that work stay contained and don't travel into the rest of the office. Every seam taped, every corner sealed, the same careful process you'd see on a home, just built to solve a different problem.

It's a detail nobody sees once the space is finished, but it's part of why the Design Centre works the way it was designed to work.

From demolition zone to a calm, spa-like retreat. Swipe to see this bathroom renovation before and after. ➡️

What began as a stripped-back space was thoughtfully transformed with soft sage-green millwork, warm wood cabinetry, brushed-brass fixtures, a spacious glass shower and a freestanding tub. The finished bathroom feels fresh and timeless—while still being designed for everyday life.

🍂 Before you turn on the heat, do THIS.

Fall is creeping up on us, and a few small checks now can save you from a very expensive surprise once the rain, wind and cold arrive.

Here are 7 things to do before winter:

1️⃣ Check your HVAC — change your filters and book a seasonal service.

2️⃣ Find the drafts — check windows, doors, outlets and vents. Cold air getting in = money going out.

3️⃣ Prep windows + doors — remove screens, check seals and secure anything outside.

4️⃣ Inspect your fireplace — clean buildup and check for cracks before the first cozy fire.

5️⃣ Look up! — clear your roof and gutters and repair damaged shingles before heavy rain hits.

6️⃣ Tidy the yard — trim trees, rake leaves and give your lawn one last feed.

7️⃣ Protect outdoor furniture — clean, cover and store what you can now. Future you will thank you.

Your home works hard all year. Give it a little attention before winter does. 🏡
