If you’ve been following along this week you know that something new is coming from All-Ways and it just might be our favourite thing we’ve ever offered. It combines Nana All-Ways and my love of hosting with organizing and cleaning, and honestly, this was just meant to be.

I received a voice memo last week that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about.

It was from someone who had swiped through the carousel about what to do if your home looks like a bomb went off and she just wanted to share what had changed for her.
A put-away basket that gave her things a temporary home so there was less clutter until she had the capacity to deal with it.
A new dish basket because the old one was a pain point and she was dreading doing dishes every single night.
A new shower curtain because she decided she deserved something fresh in the space instead of washing the old one one more time.

And then she said this:

“At the end of the night we do our 10 minute cleanup and in the morning I just feel less chaotic. It has a big impact on the energy that is present in our mornings.”

This is what I want people to understand about organization. It is not always a pantry overhaul or a closet transformation. Sometimes it is a dish basket. Sometimes it is a put-away basket by the door. Sometimes it is deciding that you deserve a fresh shower curtain.

The small things change how your home feels. And how your home feels changes everything else.

Here's the thing. Both of these work. Both of these make sense. And both of these could hold up on a busy weekday morning when everyone's running late and someone really needs a granola bar.

But they're not the same commitment.

The Pinterest pantry has matching containers and a colour palette. And it needs to be maintained. When you get home from the grocery store, the old stuff comes out, the new stuff goes in, and the older stuff goes back on top so you use it first. In every single container. This is a system BUT it is also a responsibility. If this is something you've always dreamed of, I will absolutely make it happen for you. But you have to be all in.

The other one has a hardworking Susan, some dollar store bins, and everything exactly where it needs to be. Grab n go for the kids, a backstock area for those multiples at Costco, and storage in cardboard on the floor (because it works!). Very little maintenance required.

Here's what I want you to know: organization doesn't have to look like a magazine.

First and foremost it's about never standing in front of an open pantry wondering if you actually have a taco kit in there while the ground beef is already cooked on the stove.
It's about not discovering your taco shells expired four months ago after it's too late.
It's about being able to see what you're running low on before you get to the grocery store.
It's about never finding a rouge potato hiding in the back corner that is a shade of green you've never seen before.
