Ian Moxon Architect Inc. recently completed the Lethbridge Chinook Equipment dealership & service facility, in collaboration with Westco Construction, Shift REI, BCB Engineering Ltd., Mountain Ridge Engineering, BdB Consulting Engineers, Roseke Engineering Ltd., and Dogwood Design Studio
The dealership sits on the corner of 14th Street North and 43rd Avenue in the Frontier Business Park.
This location allows Chinook Equipment to showcase its equipment in the thoughtfully landscaped area in the front of the shop.
The entryway design features full-height glazing for the sales & office area, bordered by angled buildouts. The exterior cladding is a balance between insulated metal panels for the sales area and insulated precast concrete panels for service.
An added patio off the lunchroom provides an exterior gathering space for the employees.

IMAI was proud to once again support the Green Acres Foundation Joel Nicolaas Arnoldussen Memorial Charity Golf Tournament this August. We created lasting memories, enjoyed fantastic food, and contributed to a wonderful cause.

Another milestone for Ian Moxon Architect Inc. (IMAI), from design through completion. IMA are proud to provide prime consulting and architectural services for D.A. Building Systems Ltd., one of Lethbridge’s long-standing steel fabrication companies.

Phase 1 included an approximately +/- 36,000 sq. ft. fabrication workshop and an adjoining +/- 4,500 sq. ft. two-storey office building, designed to reflect the company’s continued growth, strength, and long-term presence in the industry.
The building showcases D.A.’s expertise through a pre-engineered steel structure, in collaboration with their trusted industry partners. The bold entrance feature, incorporating the recognizable D.A. logo, creates a strong architectural identity and a welcoming focal point for the facility.

It was a privilege for IMAI to help bring this project from concept to completion and to design a facility that supports D.A Building Systems’ operations while representing its established reputation in Southern Alberta.

IMA will be closed for National Day for Truth & Reconciliation on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026, to honour the children lost to the residential school system and support Survivors, their families, and affected communities.
We will reopen on Thursday, October 1st.

TUK CULTURAL CENTRE - NWT

Ian Moxon Architect Inc. is proud to have collaborated with Sanayut Consulting Professional Engineers Corporation (AKA Hasegawa Consulting Engineers Corp.) on a two-storey office and hotel facility, a stand-alone outdoor workshop, and a new single-storey cultural centre in the community of Tuktoyaktuk, NWT.

The office & hotel facility has just been completed. It includes a large boardroom and various administrative support rooms on the main floor to assist staff, community organizations and business groups.

The cultural centre, which will adjoin the office & hotel facility, is inspired by a traditional sod house and features a Great Hall for showcasing various art forms, along with a museum space to display artifacts and host travelling exhibits. Construction will continue later this year for the cultural centre.

LCA Golf Tournament - It was a great day of networking and camaraderie at the Lethbridge Construction Association Annual Golf Tournament on June 5, 2026, at the Paradise Canyon Golf Resort.

A big thanks to Westcor for inviting Warren, representing Ian Moxon Architect Inc., to join Jeff, Reid, and Cody for an enjoyable day on the course. The event was a great opportunity to strengthen relationships, share some laughs, and connect beyond the job site.

A special shout-out to Reid, the group’s top golfer!
IMAI looks forward to future collaboration with Westcor and continuing to build strong partnerships within Alberta’s construction community.
