🌻🪩 GARDEN DISCO 🪩🌻

There’s a disco happening in the garden, and the sunflowers have the best seats in the house. ☀️🌻

When sunlight dances across sunflower petals, cosmos, calendula and all the blooms in between, the whole garden seems to sparkle like a giant disco ball. ✨ Every petal catches the light differently, the bees bounce from flower to flower, and suddenly the garden is absolutely GLOWING.

And that sunshine is doing so much more than making everything beautiful. ☀️ Plants use sunlight to power photosynthesis, turning light into the energy they need to grow strong roots, lush leaves, beautiful flowers and eventually, seeds for the next generation. 🌱

🌱🐝 THE FACES BEHIND BUMBLESEEDS 🐝🌱 Bumbleseeds.com

Meet the family behind our ever growing online seed emporium! 💛

On the right is co-founder Kim Rawlins, who, along with her husband Mike, owns Ravencroft Farm 🐦‍⬛ on beautiful Mayne Island, BC. On the left is co-founder Kyla Rawlins, Kim’s niece.

The seed for Bumbleseeds was first planted in January 2020, when Kim and Kyla were sitting around the dining room table over good food, w**e and conversation. We started talking about the alarming decline in bumblebee populations and one question kept buzzing around the table: What can we do to help?

That conversation grew into Bumbleseeds, a family-owned Canadian seed company created with a mission to help people grow food, flowers and pollinator-friendly gardens, one seed at a time. 🌻🐝🦋

We began in Sooke, BC, and in 2024 our roots moved to 10 beautiful acres on Mayne Island, where we continue growing, harvesting, learning and expanding our collection. Today, Bumbleseeds offers specialty, locally and Canadian-sourced, organic, heirloom and non-GMO seeds, shipping to gardeners across Canada.

And even our little bee has a family story. 🐝 Our Queenie B logo was inspired by a pencil drawing Kim’s son Isaac made in grade school, more than 15 years before it became the face of Bumbleseeds!

What started as two family members around a dining room table has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of: helping Canadians know what they grow, grow more of their own food, create beautiful gardens and give our precious pollinators a little more to feast on along the way. 🌱
