Ralph has never been someone who loves celebrating his birthday, and turning forty felt like a milestone he wasn’t particularly excited about.
So instead of making the celebration about the number, I created a little world around it.
Welcome to *THE FORTY CLUB*, an exclusive private club for its newest member.
The idea was to make the evening feel elegant, timeless, understated, and most importantly, him.
There was one detail I was especially intentional about. I never used the number 40 anywhere. Every mention of his age was written in letters. FORTY, never 40. I wanted him to experience the milestone without feeling the weight of the number.
His favorite color became the dress code.
His mother’s homemade Lebanese food became the menu.
Ch*****ne marked the official welcome.
And on every plate, I placed a little card with questions about Ralph, turning dinner into a little game for everyone to get to know him better. From his childhood memories to the things that shaped him, forty questions to tell a little piece of his story.
Because sometimes celebrating someone isn’t about making the biggest party.
It’s about creating something that makes them feel seen, celebrated, and completely themselves.
