This is the Nanaimo historical rainfall since January.

Virtually no rain forecast for the rest of October!

I was out watering today, October 15!!!

Typically this is the start of rainy season, but we also live on the “Wet” Coast!

Normal rainfall is about 1200mm!

If you have been following my posts, you will have noticed I have started planting my seeds for next year. Fall is the time sow those seeds as most native plants require a cold stratification period to germinate (some may require a warm period after and a second cold period, patience is a virtue!) I often leave my seed trays for a second year depending on germination rate. Birds and other animals are picking and digging so you will want to protect your trays.

A full list of available seeds in on my website, shipping is available.

I also have a few Great Camas bulbs still available.

If there is anything you would like me to bring to the market tomorrow, please reach out!
