An historic building downtown New Hamburg houses a place to find inspiration for your home. Now a proud stockist of the fabulous Chalk Paint™ decorative paint by Annie Sloan line as well as custom drapery, california shutters, blinds, local art, furniture and more. Along with the Chalk Paint™ you will find beautiful re-purposed furniture and you can also attend a workshop so you can learn how to paint your own pieces. If you would rather leave the painting up to us, our resident artist Mackenzie Jordan can accomodate that as well. Bring us a picture and dimensions of your piece so we can design the right look and colour for your space. Lots of fun going on in the shop. We also have a second location, ArtHaus150, located at 150 Victoria St S, Kitchener ON.

This morning we wake up to a familiar view out our back window. Yesterday was a long day of travel from Marseilles airport to Montreal 8 hours then Montreal to Toronto. The last flight left Montreal then returned to Montreal due to technical issues but Air Transat got us on another flight an hour later. It’s great to get away and expose yourself to other cultures, food and customs but it is always great to be home. I’m grateful for the experience and looking forward to taking all of that inspiration to our shop!!

Our final morning coffee in our beautiful apartment in Aix en Provence. It’s been an eventful trip with a lot going on around us. We had our last pastry which was the most amazing lemon tart that reminded me of Janet’s fabulous lemon tart from Jake and Humphries. As we walked around yesterday we saw stores emptying and boarding up preparing for today’s protests. There was also the ever present helicopter due to a very important trial involving the Mafia in the courthouse next door to our apartment. They take security very seriously here!! It all adds to our storied adventure. Looking forward to seeing friends. family Gracie and of course our customers next week. Thank you for everyone who helped so we could take this much needed break. See you on the flip side!!

Some wonderful doors and beautiful places to buy fresh food at the market, the boulangerie, the electricians working on the electrical issue that blew below our apartment. It’s our last day to stroll the streets and enjoy the food. Tomorrow we are back to reality and back at the shop regular hours next week. Fully inspired by all of the beautiful things and places we visited. Creative people really need to hit the reset button and fill their cups. France can consider my cup filled!! ❤️

Yesterday was rainy but very beautiful. We enjoyed a cocktail and watched the as the sea of people walked past. This mornings view from our apartment window tells me it’s going to be beautiful weather. Rain or shine there is beauty, colour and inspiration everywhere in Aix en Province. 🇫🇷

I knew I wanted to check out all of the glorious fabrics at the local interior Design shop here in Aix. So many beautiful books, pillows that I don’t always get to see samples of at home. We have access to Pierre Frey and often order from Colefax and Fowler I’m getting so much inspiration while we are in this beautiful place! 🇫🇷

Paris was such an inspiration!! Great food, sights, walks through covered passages up and down many stairs!! We got our steps all while taking in the beauty of this place. Well preserved architecture and beautiful antiques!! Thank you Paris!! On our way to the south now!!
