Some home regrets don’t show up until you’ve moved in. 🙃 And by then, fixing them can cost you more time, money, and patience than you bargained for.

From forgetting window treatments and smart-home automation to realizing your outlets are nowhere near where you need them, these little oversights can make everyday life a lot less convenient. Add poorly planned lighting and furniture that blocks your power outlets and suddenly your dream home is working against you.

The fix? Think beyond how your home will look ✨and✨ plan for how you’ll actually live in it. The right decisions made early can save you from expensive do-overs later.

Save this post for your next renovation or build. Your future self (and your electrician) will thank you.

A bedroom within a bedroom? Oh, we love a little architectural moment. ✨

Bed alcoves have been around for centuries, with built-in sleeping nooks appearing in everything from historic cottages and traditional European homes to compact apartments where every square inch counts. Today, they’re making a comeback, and honestly, it’s easy to see why.

Beyond looking charming, bed alcoves can make a bedroom feel more intimate, create a natural focal point, and help define a sleeping area without needing extra walls or bulky furniture. They’re especially useful for homeowners looking to maximize space, introduce built-in storage, or give a bedroom a more considered, custom feel. Whether you’re working with a smaller footprint or simply want to add a little architectural character, a bed alcove proves that sometimes, the best design ideas are the ones that have stood the test of time.

Some colour combinations just get each other. 🤎 This palette brings together soft whites and beiges, warm tan tones, and a beautiful teal accent for a look that feels balanced, inviting, and just the right amount of bold.

Here’s why it works: white and beige create a light, understated foundation, while tan adds warmth and depth. Then comes teal, bringing in a little personality and contrast without overpowering the rest of the palette. The result is a mix of neutrals and colour that feels cohesive, sophisticated, and easy to draw inspiration from.

⚠️ A little disclaimer for the colour-curious: these shades aren’t all from the same home, but they complement one another beautifully. Think of this as your moodboard moment — a starting point for exploring combinations, finding your favourite tones, and creating a palette that feels right for your own space. You know us: we can’t resist a moodboard! 🤪

A waterfall countertop? Teardrop chandeliers? Hardwood floors bringing all that together? This kitchen is a 10/10. ⚡️At first glance, the design feels effortlessly simple, but don’t let that fool you. The beauty is in the details — from the sculptural statement lighting to the seamless countertop edges and the natural wood tones grounding the entire space.

Here’s the thing: simple doesn’t mean easy. A layout that feels intuitive, finishes that work together, and details that look this good don’t just happen by accident. Every element has to earn its place, and every decision has to work with the bigger picture. The end result? A kitchen that looks polished without trying too hard.

Now, can we give this renovation a round of applause. 👏

It really is that serious.

There’s something to be grateful for in a space that makes everyday life feel a little easier.

This spice kitchen was reimagined around our clients’ needs and wants, giving them the added functionality and flexibility to better accommodate the way they live. We’re grateful to be part of creating spaces that elevate our clients’ lifestyles and make room for everything life brings with it.

A little more function, a lot more possibility—and, of course, plenty of room for good food.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 🦃 Hope you’re not overindulging on stuffing like some of us are. 👀

There’s a reason this kitchen feels balanced: the visual weight has been intentionally distributed from top to bottom.

A useful principle in interior design is to keep the upper portion of a room lighter and allow richer, heavier materials to ground the lower half. Here, white cabinetry and chrome hardware keep the eye-level portion of the kitchen visually light, while the warm wood cabinets and flooring establish a stronger foundation.

This approach does more than create contrast. Keeping the upper cabinetry light can help the room feel more open, while introducing wood below gives the space depth and prevents an abundance of white from feeling flat or overly cool.

The relationship between the two halves also creates a natural visual hierarchy. Your eye moves from the lighter cabinetry down toward the earthier materials, allowing the kitchen to feel layered rather than visually uniform.

It’s also a useful strategy when working with wood: instead of asking the material to carry the entire room, we can use it where its warmth has the most impact.

The result is a kitchen that feels considered without relying on every surface competing for attention.

A laundry room renovation that proves the little spaces deserve a little love, too. ❤️

Out went the old appliances, tired finishes, and less-than-inspiring lighting. In came updated appliances, refreshed countertops, modern lighting, and a completely revamped space designed to make laundry day feel a whole lot better.

Creating a dedicated space for laundry isn’t just about making things look good. Thoughtful interior design combined with smart home design can turn an overlooked room into a functional, efficient part of your home — and yes, that can be a serious quality of life boost. 📈

Because if you’re going to spend time doing laundry, you might as well do it somewhere that looks this good.

Front view ➡️ Back view ➡️ Side view. This living room is ready for its 360. 💅

Designed to look good from every direction, function isn’t the only element considered when creating this space. Comfort mixed with modernity and complementing colours bring out the best of this home’s space. And to take it to the next level, we layered textures and added the right amount of warmth through lighting. Now the only thing missing here is you reading your next book while sipping hot tea. 😌
