Small businesses make a big difference in a small town. 🤍

This Small Business Week, we’re celebrating the people, makers, and community that make Pemberton such a special place to call home.

Our owner and operator, Sweda, taking a little time on the deck with Luna, her favourite Pemberton tee, and a mug designed by a local Emily Carr artist. A little reminder that supporting local can be as simple as finding something you love, picking up a gift, or stopping in to say hello.

From October 19–25, every purchase of $40.00 at FRONT + BIRCH gives you a chance to win $100.00, $75.00 or $50.00 in FRONT + BIRCH gift cards. And if you’re not sure what to get someone, a gift card is always a good place to start.

Thank you for shopping small, supporting local, and being part of our community. It means more than you know.

A few little things we’re loving around the shop lately 🌿

Malvados flip-flops, faux florals, and those easy everyday pieces that somehow make their way home with you.

There’s something special about having a local shop to wander into, discover something new, and find a few things you didn’t know you needed. Keeping it local keeps these little shops, small businesses, and communities going. 🌱

Come by and have a look around.

THE LAST OF SUMMER 🌿

There’s something pretty special about having a picnic when the evenings are still warm and the mountains are glowing.

Sweda, owner of FRONT + BIRCH, and her daughter Luvina took the Fern & Frond blanket out for a little picnic dinner, paired with beautiful outdoor dinnerware, w**e glasses, and a wooden serving tray.

With its soft cotton top, nature-inspired pattern, and recycled base and fill made from ocean-bound plastic, Fern & Frond brings a little bit of beauty to wherever summer takes you. Designed by Emily Carr artists in Vancouver, BC.

Simple things, good food, and making the most of these last golden evenings before fall settles in. 🍎

A LITTLE SLOWING DOWN 🌿

Back to school is here, the days are getting a little shorter, and it’s the perfect time to make home feel extra cozy.

We’re loving the earthy scents from Hollow Tree, from the warm glow of their candles to the Voyageur room spray and essential oils. To***co, apple, black pepper — woodsy, warm, and just a little nostalgic. Think apple pie by the fire, crisp evenings, and coming home after a long day outside.

Handcrafted in Whistler, BC, with scents inspired by the forests, mountains, and wild places around us.

A few little things to make the transition into autumn feel good. 🍎🌲

MEET THE NEWEST JELLYCAT ARRIVALS 🌽🌿

There’s still a little summer left to soak up around Pemberton — sunny days, garden season, and maybe a few more swims before fall rolls in.

Sweetcorn is making the most of it with a daily dip, Hydrangea has a new business idea every other day, Watering Can is keeping the garden looking its best, and Bartholomew Bear is bringing a little sunshine into the changing season. 🌼

A few new faces to brighten up the shop (and maybe your room, too).

Come meet them at Front + Birch.

BACK TO SCHOOL, BUT MAKE IT CUTE 🎒🌿

New semester, new essentials. We’ve got a few things to make those early mornings, long days, and packed schedules a little more fun.

Our adorable 16 oz water bottles have removable collectible character tops and keep your drinks cold for up to 24 hours. Plus, they’re free from lead, PFAS, BPA & phthalates, so you can sip away all day.

And for lunch? Our paper-look lunch bags are actually insulated, making them just as practical as they are good-looking. Designed right here in Vancouver by Emily Carr graduates, they’re the perfect little addition to your back-to-school lineup.

Add in some super CUTE stationery and you’re pretty much ready to go. ✏️

Come shop our back-to-school favourites at Front + Birch.

WE’RE HIRING 🌿

As summer comes to an end, we’re saying goodbye to two of our lovely staff — Carla, who’s heading off to university, and Isa, who’s heading back home to Chile. We’re going to miss having them around the shop!

So, we’re looking for someone new to join the Front + Birch team 🤍

We’d especially love to hear from a recent graduate who’s energetic, outgoing, and ready to bring some fresh energy to the shop. If you love fashion, home, people, and all things Pemberton, you might be just who we’re looking for.

✨ Part-time or full-time
✨ Retail experience is an asset, but not required
✨ Someone friendly, outgoing & reliable
✨ A love for the shop, the community & mountain-town life

If this sounds like you, send your resume to [email protected] or drop it off at the store. We’d love to meet you!
