The garden tear down has begun 😢

It's that time of year where many veggies & herbs in my gardens are near spent.

Ran out of steam with the plant material I pulled, so there's a temporary compost pile beside my gardens 🫠🫣

Today I pulled all the tomato 🍅 plants & most of the squash vines.... The butternut squash is still growing like crazy.... Harvested a few & still more to come 😱 not bad for a slow start with that plant earlier this year 👌

Cut all the basil & will dry it for storage over the coming days. I already have enough pesto in our freezer. 🌱

It's a bittersweet time of year... But I think of ALLLLL the room I'll have for garlic 🧄 planting in the coming weeks & that makes it a little better.

STAY TUNED FOR PICKLES AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE & END OF SEASON VEG 🥒👌

Go time for garlic! 🧄🧄🧄

Yesterday we pulled 182 viable heads of garlic and laid them out for drying 💕

Now to fill up & turn those garlic beds into homes for carrots, more green onions & other goodness ☺️

Elephant garlic still needs to be brought it. That will be a Sunday thing I think. 😜
