Be aware when hiring contractors — the cheapest price isn’t always the best price.

We were brought in to correct several major issues with a shower installation:

• Drain was not properly aligned.
• Shower pan had insufficient slope, causing puddling.
• P-trap was not installed correctly.
• Concrete had entered the ABS drain lines.
• No waterproofing was installed on the shower pan or walls.

We brought in a licensed plumber, removed the necessary concrete, reset the drain, corrected the plumbing, waterproofed the shower, and re-sloped the base with proper mortar bedding.

Quality workmanship matters. Doing it right the first time can save you a lot of money and headaches.
