Yesterday I shared a reel of Barney braving the stairs. ❤️ Here’s a front view!
We have never owned a purebred and Barney is a far cry from being a purebred.
His mom was a mixture of Husky, Shar-pei and Wolf! The Dad was Rottweiler. He is definitely the best behaved and smartest dog we’ve ever have ever had. When we lived on the farm he was a great guard dog and kept in shape by keeping coyotes off the property. Literally chasing them off the front yard. He’s almost 12, retired and claims the best spot on “his” couch.
If you know, you know!

One step a a time Barney!
We added these carpet treads for everyone’s safety, and thought Barney would be less nervous of the stairs. The stairs at the farm were carpeted and he managed them just fine.
But, he was younger and braver then.
Now, he waits till someone will walk him down.
He’s almost 12 years old. ❤️
Whatever this good boy needs, he gets.
Pet owners will understand!

A weekend away to attend an engagement party in beautiful Niagara on the Lake, meant time to visit one of my favourite places!
A yummy lunch and then browsed the magical displays. Bought a bakery treat to enjoy with our morning coffee ☕️ n Sunday. It’s the small things!
Even my hubby was impressed.
The amazing displays inspire me every visit and yes, I started my Christmas shopping. ❤️
