Our Story:

We are a family business, serving Central Alberta since 1997, created with the desire to provide options for homeowners to optimize their spaces! Here's a bit of how we got to where we are today:

1997: Started our business in our garage.

1998: Opened our first retail store on the south side of Red Deer with two small closet displays and a handful of storage organizational products.

2000: Relocated to Southpointe Common Shopping Centre.

2002: Expanded the scope of our business to distributing Phantom Screens, offering our clients high-quality, Canadian-made screens that allow breezes (and not insects) through our home. In addition to retractable screen doors, we provide Phantom's beautiful motorized screens for decks and patios.

2006: Started our custom millwork division, manufacturing closets and cabinetry, offering our clients even more storage options. With our manufacturing capability, we became exclusive dealers for Murphy Wall Beds.

2011: Moved to the Gasoline Alley location to accommodate the expanding customer demand for storage and organizational products.

2018: Moved to Clearview Industrial Park, a location which gives us enough space for our showroom, warehouse, and cabinetry workshop, all under one roof! We take pride in our closet division which uses industry-leading Organized Living™ powder-coated wire shelving, of which are exclusive dealers. Our staff is fantastic! They look forward to providing our customers with the best products and service possible, optimizing storage areas, not just practically, but aesthetically as well. We invite you to visit our store and meet with one of our experienced consultants who will offer you ideas and designs with many alternatives to meet any budget. We aim to provide organization and efficient living ideas for every space between the front and garage doors, the basement and the ceiling. You will find a great selection of time-saving items for yourself, but they make great gifts as well! We welcome everyone and look forward to serving you! Terry Hollman and Lisa Love-Hollman

Last night was a special one for Canadian Closet.

Terry, Lisa, Mason and Kathleen attended the Red Deer District Chamber Business of the Year Awards, where we were honoured to be a finalist for Big Business of the Year.

We were in great company alongside The Coverall Shop and FortisAlberta, and congratulations to The Coverall Shop on the well-deserved win!

What made the evening especially meaningful was hearing the stories behind so many local businesses and the people who have worked hard to build them.

There is so much happening right here in Central Alberta, and it was a privilege to hear those stories and celebrate alongside so many deserving businesses.

Being recognized among them is something we don't take for granted.

Thank you to the Red Deer District Chamber for a wonderful evening, and to everyone who has been part of Canadian Closet's story over the years. We're grateful to be part of this community.

It’s gala day! ✨

Tonight, we’re heading to the Red Deer District Chamber Awards Gala as a finalist for Big Business of the Year!

We’re pretty excited to be part of it and proud to have Canadian Closet recognized alongside so many great local businesses.

It’s a big deal for us, and we’re looking forward to a great evening!

A big thank you to Mike at Doane Grant Thornton Debt Solutions for the thoughtful surprise, and to Bliss Box Inc. for putting together such a beautiful gift box.

It was such a kind gesture and genuinely made us smile. We appreciate you thinking of us!

Wish us luck tonight! 🤞

Canadian Closet started in a basement and a garage in 1997.

No big showroom. No manufacturing shop. Just the beginnings of a business that would grow, one project and one customer at a time.

Nearly 30 years later, we're still here in Central Alberta, but we've come a long way from those early days.

We've grown our team, expanded what we do, and helped homeowners make better use of their spaces, from closets and garages to kitchens and custom cabinetry throughout the home.

A lot has changed over the years, but being a local business, building relationships, and taking pride in our work remain at the heart of what we do.

Small businesses don't grow overnight. They're built over time, with a lot of hard work and the support of the communities around them.

We're proud of where we started and grateful to everyone who's been part of the journey.

Thank you for supporting local.

There’s a lot that goes into making a space work well. And it helps to have the right people behind it.

At Canadian Closet, our team brings together design, manufacturing, and installation to create custom solutions that make homes work better.

As a local cabinet shop, we work closely with our customers to understand how they use their spaces, work through the details, and create something that fits their home and their needs.

We’ve been doing this in Central Alberta since 1997, and a lot of experience goes into every project — from the first design to the finished installation.

This Small Business Week, we’re proud to introduce the people behind the work. And if you’re planning a project of your own, we hope you’ll consider a small, local business.

There’s a lot of value in knowing the people behind what you’re bringing into your home.

Whether it’s a design project at Canadian Closet or a game on the baseball diamond, Mason knows a thing or two about having an eye for the details and a drive to do things well.

As our General Manager and part of the next generation helping shape Canadian Closet, he brings a fresh perspective to the business and a passion for what we do.

We hope your birthday includes some time to unwind, a great year ahead, and maybe a few more wins along the way.

Happy Birthday, Mason!

The People Who Make Homes Work Better | Meet Terry

Terry has been part of Canadian Closet since day one.

Since 1997, he’s worked in just about every part of the business, from the shop and installations to design and everything in between.

He’s helped build the company, trained other designers and brings nearly 30 years of experience to the projects he works on today.

His approach is built around one thing: caring about getting it right.

Terry takes the time to understand what a customer wants, work through the details and make sure the design fits their home, expectations and budget.

And his involvement doesn’t stop once the design is done.

He keeps an eye on the project through production and installation, because the finished result matters just as much as the plan.

That kind of experience makes a difference, especially when a project has a lot of details to consider.

And for Terry, seeing a customer genuinely happy with the result is still one of the best parts of the job.

Thinking about a project for your home?

Connect with our team to talk through your ideas and find a solution that works for you.

Swipe through to get to know Terry a little better — and see if you can spot him on a hockey card along the way.

A home is more than one beautiful kitchen or a well-designed closet. It's how all the spaces work together.

We've recently had the opportunity to bring a lot of Canadian Closet into one home, from the entryway and kitchen to the closets and garage.

With the cabinetry now complete, we're excited to share more of this project—and there's an opportunity to see the finished work in person.

If you're a builder, renovator or homeowner planning a new build or renovation, Terry can arrange a private walkthrough so you can see how our whole-home solutions come together in a real home.

Interested in taking a look? Give us a call and we'll coordinate a time.

A home is more than the space you live in. It's what happens inside it.

The kitchen that brings everyone together. The extra chair pulled up to the table. The familiar faces who always seem to find their way back home.

This Thanksgiving, we're grateful to be part of a community that makes Central Alberta feel like home — and for every customer who has trusted us to make their space work a little better.

Wishing you a Thanksgiving full of the people, moments, and little things that make a house feel like home.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Canadian Closet.

Week 11, and we're still finding more local businesses worth cheering for.

This week we're recognizing:

⭐ Alberta Sports Hall of Fame — a pretty natural choice for the Love-Hollman family, where sports and hockey are never far from the conversation.
⭐ Goodmen Roofing Ltd. — a local company that's been part of Red Deer for more than 40 years, and one that always seems to be cheering us on.
⭐ Eagle Builders — a company we've had the opportunity to work alongside and a great example of a local business that's grown while staying connected to its community.

Take a swipe through to see why we're featuring each one.

And to our featured businesses: keep the chain going. Choose three local businesses you appreciate, tell people why, and tag Canadian Closet so we can help share them, too.

And if there's a local business you think deserves some recognition, tell us about them.

Because supporting local isn't a campaign.
It's a commitment.
