I don't like rain so I bunker down and find inside projects to work on (and I have a ton!)
We're working on an area of our home and had a beautiful floral curtain panel that I used to pull some colors for this space. It was time to cut it up and make something so I cut out a square then used the bottom part (hem already there) to make a top piece so it appears to be a fold over design. Rummaging through my stash of buttons and trims to find a cute tassel and button. Pillow filler and forms can be pricey so I've switched to pillows (Walmart of Dollarstore) for my pillow filler. Don't overlook the linen section of a thrift store as you can find some beautiful curtain panels to turn into other projects.

I had to share this....this color, oh how we love thou. When we're shopping, picking or buying, this color will always draw us in. It reminds me of grandma's kitchen.
What's your favorite color!

I've always had a weakness for old dishes. Especially those pretty soft greens and the little floral patterns you don't see as much of anymore.

I think half the fun of collecting things is remembering where you found them. A little thrift store you stopped in while you were out running errands, a yard sale you almost drove past, or something somebody in the family passed down to you.

And I like using those old things, too. I don't see much sense in having pretty dishes if they're always tucked away where nobody gets to enjoy them. Although I will admit, sometimes I just like looking at them sitting on a shelf. 😊

A few months ago I had to stop drinking coffee (ohhhh how I miss it!) so I started drinking tea. I've been trying lots of different teas, some great and others so-so.
Today we stopped at The Pickled Heron Den and were excited to see teas, made in B.C. Also tested out (they have to fit your hand you know lol)some beautiful pottery mugs. (n my Christmas list for sure!

We've been painting a few pieces and they're ready for their new home.
This small cabinet is perfect for that small space, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen or anywhere else you need some extra storage but space is limited.
It is painted in Fusion Mineral Paint Homestead Blue with slight edge distressing.
Measures 9.75" x 17.5" and 38" high

Eat at the table? Not in this house, it's creative time.
We're busy getting ready for two markets and hope to see you there.

1 - Enderby Christmas Market (Nov 20th date only)
It's all about creative at this market and we're busy creating some Christmas decor for you. We'll also have The Rustic Oar Co. handpainted paddles and oars available.

2 - Coldstream Vintage & Artisan Market - December 6th
This one will be a real mix of creative and vintage so we're busy sorting and getting things ready. The Rustic Oar Co. will also be there.

Another trip in the memory book. We spent 5 days visiting family in Manitoba and although I am a BC girl and love the mountains, I love time spent in the Prairies. Waking up to beautiful sunrises, the still quiet mornings that only the country can give. The deer visits (and a big bear too but didn't get a photo), a skunk and lots of Blue Jays. A backyard wiener roast (who gets excited about those??? we do lol) and time spent with family. We came home with lots of inspiration and ideas as our family are very creative and have just finished a beautiful home that matches our taste totally.
Now it's time to create! We're doing some Markets in November and December so watch for more information on our FB page.
