🏡 FIRESMART 🔥 looks a lot less like just running chainsaws and cutting up forest lines. The gritty work is hidden beneath the surface of hedges, upon the canopies of ornamental coniferous trees.

We at Safe & Sound Tree Services love and care for the trees and forests of the Shuswap, the landscape and gardens that make our little towns a hidden gem. ❤️

While we do take pride in tree removals and heavy underbrush thinning, it's the meticulous attentivenes that makes a work-day spectacular. 🌞

Hey that's my truck in front!

Not only do we service trees, we also love slowing down our local traffic so they too can enjoy the beautiful Shuswap views 😉

🔥 FireSmarting your property doesn’t mean clearing everything... it means managing what grows around your home!🌲

These three zones help reduce fuels, slow fire spread and give your home a better chance in the case of nearby wildfires. 👀

As a wildfire fighter myself and trained in FireSmart BC, I'd be happy to assess your property for free! 👍

With everything the Shuswap and surrounding areas have been through with wildfires over the last few years, FireSmarting continues to be something we feel strongly about.

This year, we’re going to be pushing FireSmart projects as much as we can throughout our local communities — helping homeowners take practical steps to better protect their properties before fire season is at its worst.

We’ll be offering free FireSmart property assessments, as well as sprinkler installations for those who are interested in adding another layer of protection around their homes and properties.

There’s no way to eliminate the risk of wildfire, but there is a lot we can do ahead of time to make our homes and communities more resilient.

If you’re in the Shuswap or surrounding area and want to know what can be done around your property, reach out. We’re happy to come take a look, walk through some options, and help where we can.

Let’s do what we can to protect our homes, our neighbours, and the communities we call home. 🔥🌲

Hey yall! Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend 😊

I'm going to highlight this Maple Tree 🌳 in Canoe Beach -- previously pruned on one side because the neighbor didn't like the winged pods dropping on their driveway. (Then they sold their house 1 year later 👌)

The pruning killed the tree due to structure inbalance. We had to remove this maple because in a wind-storm large lead-branches were falling off onto the house and front-yard

When you're hiring a tree service. Hire one who cares about the community and our trees. ❤️
