Door closing too hard, or not latching? Check the closer before calling anyone. Most hydraulic closers have two small valves: one for the swing speed and one for the last few inches (the latch). An eighth of a turn at a time is usually enough.

But if you see oil on the closer or on the floor under it, the seals are gone and it needs to be replaced.
