Ashley Rumsey of Mason Studio has been announced as a speaker for the inaugural Hospitality Sessions at IDS Toronto 2027.

Rumsey is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Mason Studio, a Toronto-based international interior design and art consultancy. She leads complex hospitality, retail, and commercial projects for global brands including Andaz, St. Regis, Kimpton, Marriott, and Hyatt, with a focus on translating ideas into experience-driven environments built to perform over time.

Presented as part of IDS’s new DESIGN FOR HOSPITALITY programme, launched in partnership with Hotels Canada, Hospitality Sessions takes place on Friday, January 22, 2027.

Michael London has been announced as a keynote speaker for IDS Toronto 2027.

London is the founder and principal of Michael London Design, a Toronto-based interior design firm recognized for creating spaces that are as intentional as they are enduring. With more than 25 years of experience and a portfolio spanning residential, condo, and hospitality projects, he has built a practice defined by one clear standard: great design should be unrepeatable, belonging completely to the person it was made for.

His expanding creative ecosystem, which includes furniture, carpets, and the handcrafted hat brand HALO, reflects a creative point of view that extends far beyond interiors. Michael London is not simply a designer, but a creative voice shaping what comes next — beautifying the world not temporarily, but continually.

Meet Acht Studio, a custom furniture studio based in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, crafting modern, sculptural pieces for interior designers across North America. They build every piece in-house with a focus on sustainability and locally sourced solid wood materials. This summer they moved into a new 4,500 sq ft shop in Moonstone, Ontario, giving them the room to take on bigger projects and push further into the custom, small-batch work they love most. Owner, Adam Bezzina, will be bringing a few of his own designs to the show.

Johanna Agerman Ross has been announced as a keynote speaker for IDS Toronto 2027.

Agerman Ross is the Conran Foundation Director of Curatorial, Collection and Archives at the Design Museum in London, where she leads the curatorial and collection teams and oversees the exhibition and display programme. Her recent curated exhibitions include Wes Anderson: The Archives and Es Devlin: Other Worlds, and she is currently leading the new collection gallery project due to open in 2029.

Previously curator of twentieth-century and contemporary furniture and product design at the Victoria and Albert Museum, she launched the ten-year research project Make Good: Rethinking Material Futures, focused on design and the climate emergency. In 2011 she founded the international design journal Disegno, which she continues to direct. Her practice is centered on sharing stories around design and uncovering narratives and perspectives that often go unseen.

House Party, generously supported by Blanco, Caesarstone, Miele, and Toryls, brings the home to life on the IDS show floor through four fully realized spaces: bedroom, kitchen, living room, and patio.

This installation celebrates the full spectrum of residential design, from affordable housing to high-end living, and from rural to urban spaces. Great design isn’t about square footage or price—it’s about how it makes us feel, how it brings us together, and how it reflects the diverse ways we live.

The Interior Design Show is proud to announce Yinka Ilori as our 2027 International Guest of Honour.

London-based British-Nigerian artist and designer Yinka Ilori is known for his use of bold color, pattern, and optimism. His work spans architecture, interiors, sculpture, furniture, and graphic design, drawing inspiration from his British-Nigerian heritage, Nigerian parables, and the communities and landscapes of London. Ilori’s designs transform public spaces and everyday environments into places that encourage participation, community, and connection.
