🏠 Basement waterproofing
🦸 Water damage restoration
🦠 Mould Removal
💧 Emergency Flood Cleanup

This is one of the first steps in an interior basement waterproofing project: opening up the floor along the foundation. Our crew is excavating the interior of the basement to create the space needed for the new waterproofing and drainage system.

By working directly along the inside of the foundation, we can install a waterproofing membrane that helps collect and control moisture before it becomes a bigger problem in the finished basement. The excavation also gives us the access needed to properly install the drainage system and connect it to the sump pump.

It’s not the cleanest stage of the project, but there’s a reason for all the digging. Once the waterproofing system is installed and everything is put back together, the work happening below the finished floor will be helping protect the basement from unwanted water.

Before a new exterior waterproofing system can be installed, the foundation needs to be fully exposed. That’s what our crew is working on here, excavating along the outside of the basement to reach the foundation walls and prepare them for the next stages of the project.

Once the foundation is uncovered, we can inspect the concrete, look for cracks or areas that may need attention, and properly prepare the surface for the waterproofing membrane. The membrane will then create a protective barrier along the foundation, helping keep groundwater from getting through the basement walls.

It’s a lot of digging before the waterproofing work itself begins, but getting the foundation properly exposed and prepared is an important part of doing the job right.

Before an interior waterproofing membrane can be installed, we need to open up the basement and get access to the foundation. In this project, our crew is removing the drywall and baseboards before excavating along the interior foundation walls to prepare the area for the new waterproofing system.

Opening up the basement allows us to work directly along the foundation instead of simply covering up the signs of moisture. Once the area is exposed, we can prepare the foundation, install the membrane, and create a proper drainage path to help control water and moisture below ground.

It’s one of the messier parts of the process, but it’s an important step. The finished basement may look completely different, but the work happening underneath is what helps the waterproofing system do its job.

Before a new waterproofing membrane can go on, we need to get down to the foundation. Our crew is excavating along the exterior of the home to fully expose the basement foundation and create the access needed for the next stages of the job.

Once the foundation is uncovered, we can inspect the concrete, identify any cracks or problem areas, prepare the surface, and get it ready for the new waterproofing system. The membrane will then create a protective barrier between the foundation and the surrounding soil, helping keep groundwater from making its way into the basement.

There’s a lot of digging involved before you ever see the finished result, but this is where a proper exterior waterproofing job begins. The better the foundation is exposed and prepared, the better the waterproofing can do its job.

A waterproof basement starts with getting to the source of the problem. In this project, our crew is opening up the interior of the basement, removing drywall and excavating along the foundation so we can install a new interior waterproofing membrane.

Water can find its way through small cracks and weak points in a foundation, and once the walls are covered back up, those problem areas can be difficult to reach. By opening everything up, we can work directly along the foundation and create a proper path for moisture to be controlled and redirected.

It’s a messy stage of the job, but it’s an important one. Once the membrane and drainage system are in place, the basement can be put back together with much more confidence that moisture is being handled where it starts.

This is the part of exterior waterproofing that takes some serious digging. Our crew is excavating along the foundation to expose the concrete walls and get the home ready for a new waterproofing membrane. Before we can seal anything, we need to get right down to the foundation and give ourselves a clear surface to work with.

Once the excavation is complete, the foundation can be cleaned, inspected, and prepared for the membrane installation. From there, the new waterproofing system will create a protective layer between the foundation and the surrounding soil.

It may look like we're just digging a big trench right now, but this is where the real work begins. A dry basement starts with a foundation that's properly protected.
