Grateful for the team, the creativity, and the passion behind everything we do 🖤

Our LUX Design team had the pleasure of celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving together at the beautiful Eloise in Toronto, and it was such a special evening to pause, reflect, and appreciate what makes our team so extraordinary.

We’re incredibly thankful for our amazing clients who trust us to bring their visions to life, and for the talented, inspiring designers who pour their creativity, dedication, and heart into every project. Great design is never just about the finished space; it’s about the team, collaboration, and dedication that go into creating it.

A special thank you to our amazing leadership, Isabelle, and our management team, Nazneen, Billy, and Nazafarin, for their leadership, support, and for creating an environment where creativity and great work can thrive.

We’re proud of what we create together, grateful for the relationships we build along the way, and excited for all that’s still to come.

Here’s to great design, meaningful connections, an incredible team, and so much to be thankful for. ✨

A little late with the post, but we’re remaining thankful all year round.

Fifty floors above the hustle-and-bustle of Toronto, there is a moment when the city disappears and you realize you are somewhere in between; not quite on the ground, not quite above it, but nestled in the middle of the sky.

With two terraces extending from this client’s condo, we wanted to bring something of the earth into that feeling of weightlessness. Wood, woven textures, natural fibres and generous greenery soften the edges of the architecture, giving the terraces the warmth and ease of somewhere much closer to the ground.

Inside, that same language continues through limewashed walls, sculptural forms and custom pieces designed specifically for the home. Everything is tactile and quiet, a counterpoint to the glass, concrete and endless view beyond it. More photos to come shortly.

There is something particularly beautiful about being somewhat disconnected from land yet still feeling connected to nature.

And with the sun still pouring over these terraces on October, we’re happy to stay here a little longer.

A day in the life of our design team ✨

Lately, our designers have been spending less time behind their desks and more time in the beautiful (and sometimes chaotic) world of design in motion: on site for deliveries, sourcing the perfect pieces, making creative discoveries, and designing along the way.

From the first delivery to the final styling detail, there’s so much that happens behind the scenes before a space comes together.

Here’s a little journey through the last little while with our team: the places, the process, the details, and everything in between 🖤

Excited to officially kick off the Grand Penthouse at Aqualuna. With full creative control from start to finish, this is a project we’re incredibly excited about. We just wrapped up our initial site walk-through with our entire team, including our contractor, painters, custom millwork team, furniture makers, and drapery and blinds specialists.

Designed by Tridel and Hines, Aqualuna’s sculptural form takes inspiration from the rolling waves of Lake Ontario. Its two peaks and central valley aren’t just an architectural statement, they’re designed to maximize lake views for every residence. It’s thoughtful design at every scale, and we can’t wait to bring this penthouse to life.

Until then, we’ll be soaking in the beauty of this exceptional waterfront architecture as we begin transforming the Grand Penthouse. More to come soon.

The best interiors are built around the way people live.

For Empire Homes Ontario Grand Penthouse on King Street West, we selected furnishings that bring warmth, softness, and character to every corner. From curved upholstery to tactile fabrics and statement pieces, each element was chosen to create a space that feels sophisticated without sacrificing comfort.

There’s a common misconception in design: that every firm has a signature look. A formula. A style they repeat project after project.

That’s never been us.

Scroll through our portfolio and you’ll find kitchens that feel entirely different from one another: warm and organic, sleek and modern, timeless and traditional, bold and expressive. Not because we’re chasing trends, but because every design begins with our clients who will live in it.

Our job isn’t to leave our fingerprint on every project. It’s to uncover yours.

As a leading Toronto design firm for condos, we’ve built a reputation for creating beautiful, highly functional spaces within some of the most challenging footprints. And in this case, no kitchen is too big or too small for us to make an impact. Whether we’re maximizing every inch of a compact urban condo or designing the heart of a sprawling family home, our approach remains the same: thoughtful, tailored, and deeply personal.

Each kitchen tells a different story, shaped by the client’s lifestyle, aesthetic, routines, and vision for home. The result is a collection of spaces that share one thing in common: they were designed specifically for the people who use them.

We’re not a one-trick-pony design firm. We’re listeners, translators, and creators of spaces that feel uniquely their own.

Our ethos is the same as it was twenty years ago, great design isn’t about repeating the same idea, it’s about finding the right one, every single time.

A fun afternoon dedicated to the art of pretending we cook like this regularly.

Huge thank you to Tasco Appliances for inviting us inside Miele’s Experience Centre for a hands-on class with Chef Carlos. Equal parts culinary masterclass and luxury kitchen fantasy.

The tiramisu in the last slide was one of those desserts that’s dangerously good: rich, creamy, and impossible to stop eating.

Full recipe here:

INGREDIENTS
* 6 eggs separated - egg yolk and egg white
* 1/3 cup sugar
* Marsala w**e (can substitute Brandy or Dry Sherry w**e)
* 425 grams mascarpone cheese (1 container)
* 12 lady fingers (each lady finger cut into 4 pieces)
* 6 shots of espresso (for dipping the lady fingers

METHOD
1. Brew espresso and pour into a bowl and let cool
2. Cut each lady finger into 4 pieces and set aside
3. Making Sabayon - In a heat-resistant bowl, add egg yolks, half sugar, and marsala w**e
5. Using gas stove, set bowl on burner and using TrueSimmer, whisk mixture till it thickness. Will take about 20 minutes. Allow to cool.
* TIP: mixture is done once it coats the back of the spoon and you can run your finger through it and it holds.
6. In an electric mixer, whisk egg whites and gradually add half sugar until firm peaks.
7. Fold egg whites into the prepared cold Sabayon mixture and combine.
8. Add mascarpone and mix till all combine

ASSEMBLE

3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 and let set in the fridge for about 10 minutes before serving
*TIP: can garnish with a dusting of coco powder, shaved chocolate, or crushed pistachios
4. TIP: If using a larger dish, you can leave lady fingers whole and assemble as normal
