A little glimpse into where it all began. 🤍

Old newspaper clippings, family photos, handwritten notes from our founder, Lewis Ga***rd, and pieces of a story that started with a dream, a lot of hard work, and a family determined to build something of their own.

What began in 1985 has grown and changed in more ways than anyone could have imagined, but at the heart of Ga***rd Hardwood Flooring, so much has stayed the same.

Family. Hard work. Craftsmanship. And the belief that if you’re going to build something, build it to last. More than 40+ years later, we’re pretty proud of where that dream has taken us — and even prouder of where it all began. 🤍

When a standard colour isn’t quite perfect enough for the space, we create one. 🤍

For this beautiful Bridgehamptons home, we worked with the builder to create a custom stain specifically for the project.

Installed throughout is our 9” Engineered White Oak in Prime Grade. Clean and refined with no knots or heavy character, allowing the natural colour variation and beautiful graining of the White Oak to shine.

The extra-wide planks create an expansive feel, while the soft custom colour gives the entire home a subtle, timeless foundation for everything layered on top.
