I’ve been quiet on here because I’ve been on the road sourcing the most beautiful vintage rugs for the shop. A major highlight was stepping inside one of Egypt’s oldest rug workshops to learn about their history, techniques and timeless artistry firsthand.

So looking forward to showing you the new finds. Landing in the shop soon! 🤎

In trying times, beauty is far from frivolous, it’s essential.

Surrounding ourselves with art, colour, texture …with things made slowly and thoughtfully that bring us joy is insisting that there is hope beyond the choices of incapable men in power.

Beauty can change the world because it changes us.
Choosing beauty, protecting beauty, making space for beauty….these are small, radical acts of resistance.

What we bring into our homes matters.

I don’t often find woven beauties with hues of lavender which makes this one stand out while still being so subtle. I’m curious to see what home it will become a part of!

So many of you took a piece of work made by Nora home with you at the markets this spring and summer.
It was a joy sharing her art with you all. Her talent is unmistakable and her resilience as a single mom, daughter, sister and business woman is to be admired.

I didn’t realize how popular Nora’s fish designs would be, but now I do and there will be many pieces arriving in the fall.

Here is Nora creating one of her beautiful plates. I intended to put some atmospheric music on it but decided to leave it raw so you can hear the sounds of her workshop and the scratching of her art into the clay 🤎
