Cattle, sheep and goats all test a fence differently.

Barbed wire or electric for cattle. Page wire for sheep. A tight 2" x 4" grid for goats, because a 6" opening can trap a goat’s head.

Deer, bears, snakes, muskrats. If wildlife is getting into your garden, crops, or property, the fence that stops one won't necessarily stop another.

An 8-foot page wire fence works well for deer on farms and orchards. Bears need electric strands. Snakes and amphibians need tight-grid welded wire or specialized barriers. The right wildlife exclusion fence starts with identifying the animal, not just building taller or stronger.

Two fence posts can look the same on install day. Five years later, it's a different story.

Not all post-treatment is the same. When quality control gets pushed aside to save money, preservative doesn't pe*****te as deep, and posts can fail early. That's why we use posts treated to Ministry of Transportation and Transit (MoTT) specifications, built for long-term preservation and better performance over time.

Comparing quotes? Ask one question: "What standard were the posts treated to?" A lower price up front doesn't mean much if you're replacing your fence early.
