Some rooms need more than a quick tidy.

The Room Reset is a full day or two with me in one space, 8 to 14 hours from first sort to final label. I also work in kitchens, boutique back-of-house storage, design sample libraries, and small business or corporate offices.

We declutter what is not needed, you keep what you use. Everything gets a home, bins with clear labels if needed, so it stays easy to find and easy to put back.

My most recent example of letting go was a box I’d carried from country to country for about 10 years. School notebooks, drawings, greeting cards, small souvenirs.

This time I went through everything one item at a time and asked myself if I’d ever read them again. After ten years, the answer was no.

I only kept my school drawings, because they remind me I was good at it, and I can take some time to do more of it. I kept my greeting cards too. They’re always fun to read again, and without the envelopes, they take less space.

Now the box has less in it, and everything left is something I enjoy.

Please don’t! 🙏🏻 Seeing your space in its natural state helps me understand your everyday routine and where the current system isn’t working. There’s zero judgment, my job is simply to help build a functional solution. 🙌🏼

Remember the MOSAIC kitchen from earlier this week? This is one of my favorite parts of the project, labeling every spice jar so anyone in the kitchen can find what they need right away.
It’s a small step, but it makes a real difference for the facilitators and participants using this space every day.

I always feel really lucky to be part of someone’s next chapter.

What stood out to me working with Sandra was how disciplined and dedicated she was through the whole process. That’s honestly half the work, and she showed up for it every session. 🤍

I had books I bought years ago, or got for free. Never read them. They sat on the shelf, then got packed and moved to the next place, and the next.

I kept telling myself I’d get to them.

At some point I realized: I can borrow the same book from the library any time I actually want to read it. I don’t need to own it to have access to it.

So I let them go. Donated them to the library, where someone else can pick them up and actually read them.

Letting go doesn’t mean the books, or the intention, weren’t worth something. It just means I stopped holding onto them out of guilt.

I kept the ones I love, the ones I want to read again, and the ones I know I’ll actually get to soon!

I made this plate last year. I used it a few times, then stayed in the cabinet.

I made it thinking of chips and salsa. The heart cracked before it even came out the kiln, so I never used it for that.

It was my first pottery plate I ever made. That’s part of why it was hard to let go of. I liked it, but it wasn’t really functional.

I’m hoping someone else finds a use for it.

Letting go of it doesn’t mean letting go of the memory.
I had a really good time making it with friends, and that stays with me. Now there’s room in the cabinet for something I’ll actually use.

What’s the one space in your home you open every single day, and wish felt a little more organized?

For some people, it’s an entry closet, a pantry, or a bathroom cabinet.

The Focus Session gives that space the attention it deserves, 4-6 hours, one visit.

As September settles in, book your Focus Session, link in bio.
