🔧 Poly-B to PEX Transition Done Right! 🚿

In this project, Derek from MetroWest Plumbing & Heating demonstrates the proper way to replace an old shower valve when working with existing Poly-B plumbing.

Many homes in British Columbia still have Poly-B water lines, but modern plumbing installations are typically completed using PEX piping. The key is making a safe, reliable, and code-compliant transition between the two systems.

In this video, Derek explains: ✔️ Why PEX is the current industry standard ✔️ How to properly connect existing Poly-B piping to new PEX lines ✔️ The specialized transition fittings required for a secure connection ✔️ Best practices that help ensure long-term reliability and compliance with current plumbing standards

Quality work starts with proper installation and attention to detail.

🔨 Meet Matthew Rogers 🔨

Today we're excited to introduce one of the newest members of the Vancitybuilder team — Matthew Rogers.

Originally from New Zealand, Matthew brings an adventurous spirit, strong character, and a positive outlook to everything he does. Before joining our team, he spent several years traveling across Canada in a van, exploring the country's diverse landscapes, communities, and cultures from coast to coast.

What started as a journey of discovery eventually became a new way of life. Inspired by the opportunities, people, and natural beauty he encountered along the way, Matthew chose to make Canada his home and begin a career in the skilled trades.

As a Carpenter Apprentice, Matthew is committed to learning the craft, developing his skills, and contributing to projects that improve homes and communities. His willingness to learn, strong work ethic, and genuine enthusiasm for construction make him a valued member of our growing team.

We're proud to have Matthew with us and look forward to watching him continue to grow as a tradesperson and professional.

Welcome to the Vancitybuilder family, Matthew! 🇳🇿🇨🇦🏡
