Winderberry Winderberry is a family-owned and operated business that cares about connecting people to plants, our environment and the miracle of life - growing from seed.

We are passionate about the work we do and take pride in our values and commitment to growing healthy plants and healthy community. We are also organic vegetable farmers growing a diverse selection of produce for our community. We sell at the Invermere Farmers Market, Local Restaurants, Spring Health Foods and through our weekly food box program called CSA (Community Supported Agriculture).

🍂 It’s our LAST WEEK of the season! 🍂

Just a few more days to squeeze in one last Winderberry visit before we close the doors this Saturday, October 10th for the season.

And we’re making the most of them!

🥕 A big fall harvest veggie stand is coming together for Friday and Saturday, perfect for Thanksgiving dinner, stocking the pantry & bulk buying
🍽️ The Edible Acres Café is open for those last lunches and fall favourites
🌿 The Nursery is still full of great finds at 50% off trees, shrubs & perennials
🦃 And we’ll be taking orders to help complete your Thanksgiving feast!

It’s one of our favourite times of year, beautiful fall colour, bins full of the harvest and that cozy end-of-season feeling around here. ❤️

Come see us one more time before we tuck Winderberry in for the winter.

🌿 NEW AT WINDERBERRY ~ NATIVE PERENNIALS 🌿

You’ve been asking…and we finally have them!

We’ve just received a beautiful selection of native perennials grown locally at Nupqu Native Plant Nursery and we’re very excited to have them at the greenhouse.

There’s a reason more gardeners are turning to native plants. 🌱

Native plants are naturally adapted to our climate and growing conditions, making many of them fantastic choices for tough sites, lower-water landscapes and areas where you want something hardy and resilient. Once established, native plants can often require less watering and maintenance than plants that aren’t adapted to our conditions.

But their value goes well beyond being tough.

🐝 Support native bees, butterflies & other pollinators
🦋 Provide food and habitat for local wildlife
💧 Reduce water use once established
🌱 Increase biodiversity in your own backyard
🏔️ Grow plants naturally suited to our region
🌾 Great for naturalized areas and larger-scale plantings

Native plants and local pollinators have evolved alongside one another, and even a small patch of natives can create valuable habitat. You don’t need to convert your entire garden, adding just a few native plants amongst the plants you already love is a great place to start.
