Beware of scammers.
⚠️ SCAM CALL WARNING PLEASE BE AWARE ⚠️
It has come to our attention that homeowners in our area are receiving scam calls regarding their heat pumps. Unfortunately, these scammers have now used the Southwest Home Comfort name, along with the names of other companies when contacting homeowners.
They may claim they are calling from the “head office” of the company that installed your heat pump, tell you that your system is due for yearly maintenance, or even tell you that you need to make a payment to keep your warranty active. They may say they will be in your area soon and can book you in, then ask for a small down payment, banking information, a void cheque, or other personal information.
Please know that your equipments warranty is purchased and registered when we install your equipment and depending on the equipment it's valid for 10–12 years. Will NEVER ask for a void cheque or your banking information.
If someone calls claiming to be from our company and you have any doubt at all, please hang up and call our office line directly at 902-307-2155 or please stop by and see us in person. We would much rather have you double check with us than risk giving your personal information to the wrong person.
Please be extremely cautious and look out for one another. Share this with your friends, family, neighbours, and anyone who may not see this post. A simple share could help prevent someone in our community from becoming a victim. 💜
