Commissioning exposes the dimensions the programme hoped were already settled. A joint has opened, a fixing point has shifted, or the final façade layer is thicker than the coordination model.

A drawing can look perfect.

That doesn’t mean the finished project will be.

Plans show dimensions.

They show locations.
They show products.
They show how everything is supposed to come together.

What they don’t always show is what happens when the design meets the real building.

Access restrictions.
Installation tolerances.
Coordination issues.
Maintenance requirements.
Unexpected site conditions.

And the small compromises that can quietly change the final result.

That’s why reviewing a specification only from the drawing is risky.

System performance is often reduced to the most visible product. A light may have adaptive capacity, but one rigid profile or clip can transfer the façade movement back into the light.

You just slow down for half a second longer than you meant to.

Once the building is open, a small gap, failed termination, or distorted line can require lifts, scaffolding, permits, night work, protection of occupied areas, and another public handover.

A lighting run can look acceptable at switch-on and still be carrying the force that will create tomorrow’s callback.

When the light body and mounting profile demand different lengths or fixing positions, the installer has to lock the system into tension.

Facalite : ArcFlex and the Anole profile are designed to work as an adaptive pair, allowing the illuminated line and the support path to respond together.
