KIST DESIGN is a interior architecture studio. We always aim to create a unique atmosphere of the space we design.

KIST DESIGN - is a team of young and creative people, which uses the knowledge and many years of its members' experience working together on improving the space around us and, simultaneously, creating a unique and lively design in all its expressions. OUR SERVICES:

A ripple becomes a room.

For Aqua Oasis, a lobby bar concept for the Slunovrat resort on Orlík, I started with the movement of water. Its expanding circles became a way to organise the ceiling, the light and the seating below.

Curved forms give the room a shared rhythm, while smaller seating groups create places to pause within it.

A new chapter for a familiar place

How do you imagine the future of a place that already means something to people?

When the Spojujeme team invited us to develop a concept for Dejvická nádražka, we began with its existing character: the familiar spatial logic, the patina and its place in the neighbourhood’s memory.

Our proposal brings more light and openness into that setting. A glass-block bar, suspended lines of light and a restrained material palette introduce a contemporary layer, while keeping the connection to what made the place distinctive.

Throughout the design, I kept returning to one question: what should people recognise, and what could they discover?

This series brings together our response — from the first references and the plan to the atmosphere we imagined for the room.

A different way of seeing

Through textured glass, a familiar form becomes something unexpected. Edges soften. Colour fragments. A small detail invites a second look.

This reference captures a quality we explored in our concept for Dejvická nádražka: materials that give a room depth and leave something to discover.

For me, choosing a material also means imagining how it will be experienced — from across the room, from a nearby table, as the light changes.

A place around the bar

A seat at the counter offers a different way to inhabit a restaurant: closer to the activity, open to conversation, comfortable on your own.

In our concept for Dejvická nádražka, the bar brings this possibility into the familiar life of the room. Its textured glass catches the light, while dark timber and the patinated ceiling connect it to the wider material palette.

I wanted to imagine the everyday moments here: a quick drink, an unexpected conversation, an evening that lasts a little longer.

The old place, reimagined

The plan, the textures, the light — here, they come together.

Our concept for Dejvická nádražka keeps the familiar spatial logic while introducing a contemporary layer: a glass-block bar, suspended lines of light and a restrained material palette.

I wanted the room to feel open and welcoming, with quieter moments around individual tables. A place that carries its history forward and makes room for new encounters.

A new architectural language

The proposal brings a contemporary layer into a place with a long memory.

We explored how texture and light could speak alongside its existing character. In this chapter, a material detail becomes a way to imagine continuity and change in the same room.

Familiar warmth, new light

A precise metal grid. Wax that takes its own shape. A small flame that changes how we see both.

This image captures a relationship we explored in our concept for Dejvická nádražka: contemporary structure and the warmth of a place shaped by time.

I wanted the new design to carry that familiar feeling into a different architectural language. Materials, light and small details became ways to connect the two.

A surface with a past

Some surfaces hold more than a finish. They hold time, use and memory.

The character and patina of Dejvická nádražka were part of what made this brief so meaningful. I wanted the new design to enter into a conversation with that history.

The logic worth keeping
We started with the plan, because the life of Dejvická nádražka was already there.

The proposal keeps the spatial logic people know and makes room for new ways to use the place. I wanted its next chapter to grow from what was familiar, not erase it.
