Sometimes, the journey itself becomes the destination.
Five days on the Salkantay Trail. Five days of walking, climbing, changing landscapes, tired legs, extraordinary views and very little connection to the world beyond the mountains.
From the vastness of the Andes and the snow-covered Salkantay to green valleys and cloud forest, the landscape seemed to transform with every day of the journey.
What can I say? It was challenging, deeply humbling and incredibly beautiful. And perhaps one of the greatest luxuries was simply having the time to walk (even though my shoes let me down multiple times...).
To look.
To notice.
And to experience a place without immediately moving on to the next thing.
Thus, not everything I bring home from my journey is an object.
Some things simply change the way we see. 🤍
