House in Process

The dark timber façade forms the outer shell of the house. In the garden, water becomes a counterpart to the architecture - embedded within nature, stone and existing landscape.

House in Process

Terrace, balconies and shelters outdoor spaces extend the house into the garden. Timber surfaces continue outside, creating fluid transition between interior and exterior.

Knot-free white fir defines the attic space. Walls and roof surfaces form a calm, light shell in which daylight is softly absorbed and reflected.

House in Process

One generous space beneath one roof.
Living, dining and retreat flow into one another. The architecture remains quiet, allowing light, proportion and material to define the space.

-

House in Process

Upstairs, the atmosphere changes.
Light timber wraps walls and roof into a continuous surface, while precious framed openings guide the view from one space to the next.

The result is a quiet sequence of rooms beneath the existing roof - distinct in character, yet still part of the same house.

-

House in Process

Old and new do not have to look the same to belong together.
Dark surfaces, wood, glass and carefully placed colors deliberately contrast with one another - while still forming one whole.

-

House in Process

Sometimes one intervention can change more than an entire renovation.
The yellow floor runs through the dark corridor like a trace, transforming a passageway into a space of its own. Color becomes orientation.

Haus im Prozess

Was funktioniert, darf bleiben.

-
House in Process

What works can stay.
The existing house is not completely overwritten. Materials, furniture and familiar spaces remain part of it - meeting new interventions along the way. This is where its identity comes from.

Haus im Prozess

Weiter bauen, statt neu beginnen.

-

House in Process

Building on what already exists.
The House is not understood as a finished state, but as a structure that can continue to change. Spaces are opened up, constructions rearranged and the existing building is taken further.
