Promotor: World Trade Center Miami / Diseño: Cartonlab + Aversa Studio / Producción e instalación local: Cartonbar / Imágenes: Revelarts LLC + Cartonlab.

If you’re organizing a trade show and want each exhibitor to have their own distinct identity, we can help you develop a modular system that makes it happen.
At the Americas Food & Beverage Show in Miami, we designed seven booths for companies like CMI, Prodea, and Viva Tapas, as well as national delegations from Panama and Belize.
We also worked with World Trade Center Miami on the Beverage Demo Station: a custom booth featuring a large bar, a backwall with beverage displays, and high-top tables where attendees could enjoy tastings and demos.

How can a venue’s architecture help shape your event?
We worked with Humblestorm to design and deliver a corporate event in . The challenge was to bring the company’s brand into the space and guide guests toward the networking area, with a quick setup that worked around the hotel’s daily operations.
We designed a modular cardboard tunnel around the existing staircase. A series of arches, lighting and graphics guided guests through the space and into the event.
Every step had its own dimensions. We designed and made the components in our workshop so everything would fit on site, allowing a small crew to install it quickly without disturbing other hotel guests.
Planning an event in a venue with its own quirks? We can help you make them work in your favor.

This is the team that designs, makes and gets every cardboard piece ready to reach its destination. Everyone takes care of one part of the process and hands over to the next person so everything fits together, from first brief to build.

Planning a corporate event and looking for something your team will actually get involved in?
Together with Le Monnier & Partners, we created Gaudí BCN Experience: a collaborative building activity designed to get people working together and actively involved in the experience.
At Cartonlab, we design and produce the full cardboard system. Le Monnier brings it to the event and turns it into a fully facilitated team-building activity.
It was never just about cardboard. We use this material as a way to make things happen: to get people interacting, teams working together, and brands communicating… while we get to do what we love most: design. 💗
Barcelona was the starting point, but the same approach can be built around another city, building, product, brand, or idea.

Corporate events need an element designed not just to be seen, but to be experienced.
That rarely happens with flat graphics alone. This is where architectural scale starts to matter: creating something people can walk through and immediately connect with the identity of the event.
For this project in , commissioned by HUMBLESTORM Studios, we designed a large faceted cardboard dome that worked as a passage between different areas of the venue. It helped organise the flow of people, marked the transition from one space to another and became one of the strongest visual elements of the event.
The whole structure was designed and built in cardboard, with integrated lighting, mirrored finishes and full-colour printed surfaces. As people moved through it, the reflections and changing light gave the interior a much more immersive feel and made the passage itself part of the experience.

Design is about solving problems.😅
Together with HUMBLESTORM Studios, we had to turn an unusual starting point, an indoor beach volleyball arena, into a fully operational corporate event with networking booths, screens, lighting, technical equipment and a large conference area.
☝️The floor came first. We developed a modular cardboard deck strong enough to create a stable surface over the sand, while leaving enough space underneath for cables, power and all the technical infrastructure the event required.
Once that was solved, the rest of the project grew from the same material. Cardboard became booths, counters, faceted walls and the landscape around the stage, all designed specifically for the event and connected by the same visual language.
These are the kind of projects we enjoy most ❤️ because every decision has to work on several levels at once: structure, logistics, technology, branding and the way people move through and experience the space.
Special thanks to the whole Cartonlab team involved, who took the project from the workshop to Helsinki and assembled the full installation on site within a very tight schedule ⌛as usual

If you’ve ever managed your company’s presence at a trade show, you know how demanding it can be.
Your job is to make the most of the show. Ours is to make the booth the easy part. 😋
Lightweight, modular and easy to assemble, but far from looking repetitive. We like systems that make things simpler without making everything look the same. For the Spanish Pavilion at Interzoo Nuremberg, designed for ICEX under the new “Pet Essentials from Spain” brand, we worked with a modular cardboard system based on one simple idea: repeated elements, different results.
The back walls are built from modular cardboard panels, while a series of parametrically designed ribs adapt to them, changing in depth, rhythm and curvature. Same construction logic. Different geometries. This allowed us to create movement, irregularity and a strong visual identity while keeping production, transport and installation efficient.

We take care of the space, so you can focus on your business 👍.

When you have 20 participants at the same event, the final hours of installation can easily turn into a race against the clock 🕘

With a modular cardboard system, around 90% of the setup can be completed before the participants arrive. That leaves the team free to focus on what really makes the difference: installing graphics and banners, adjusting each space, handling last-minute requests and making sure every exhibitor is properly looked after ❤️.

For the 3rd World Congress of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities, held at the Kursaal in San Sebastián, we solved most of the infrastructure in advance with display panels, counters, tables, chairs, trees and different booth configurations. Everything came together as one coherent exhibition landscape.

And once the event was over, all the elements were dismantled, stored and prepared to be reused at future editions
