A little look around our home… although these pictures might be a slightly prettier representation of it than the reality today 😂

We’re all hibernating from the storm outside, the house is a tip, there’s washing to be done and I’m fairly sure someone has asked me what’s for breakfast at least 47 times already.

But honestly, there’s nowhere I’d rather be on a day like this. Cosy corners, a house full of people (and stuff 🙃) and absolutely no plans to go anywhere.

Ever wondered what makes the biggest difference when styling a home? 👀

It’s easy to get caught up in the high ceilings and coving of our Victorian home, but honestly, it’s often the accessories that make all the difference.

Rugs, cushions, lamps, artwork and plants bring a room to life. You don’t always need to redecorate or buy new furniture… sometimes it’s all in the finishing touches!

Tom’s bedroom glow-up 💙

When we moved in, his room was navy blue. Then came the phase where he wanted everything black… and now, with 15 just around the corner, we’ve gone for something a little more grown up.

I wanted a colour that still felt moody and masculine but gave the room a calmer, more relaxed feel and I’m so pleased with how it’s looking.

We’re not quite finished yet, but the colour has completely transformed the feel of the room.

We went for Farrow & Ball Inchyra Blue (colour Matched).

Funny how the kids rooms evolve as they grow 🥰

October 2020 vs now 🏡✨

Six years of making this house our home, one room at a time. The living room, hall, snug and kitchen have all had a few changes along the way, and it’s lovely looking back at how far we’ve come.

Still plenty on the list, but that’s all part of the fun, isn’t it? ❤️
