ECSUS Design bring next-generation timber frame construction with SIPs (Structurally Insulated Panels) to France. Our system allows total flexibility of design and easy, fast construction - even with difficult terrain and extremes of climate. Save money on construction and on future household bills, and live sustainably in a highly energy efficient home that surpasses all government standards. By incorporating the latest in renewable energy sources such as air and ground source heat pumps, solar collectors and ultra-efficient heat exchangers, we create state of the art homes for the same price as traditional construction methods. Your new home comes with full insurance and warranty for total peace of mind.

All hands on deck for this one 💪
Big glass panels. Old stone walls. Zero room for error.
Every panel had to be lifted, lined up and set in place by hand, with the whole team working together.

🇫🇷

Another one up before summer’s end ☀️

This chalet has gone from foundations to full structure in an incredibly short space of time.

That’s the SIP difference - precision-engineered panels manufactured in the factory, ready to go together on site. The result? A fast, accurate build with far less left to chance.

With the structure now complete, the focus can shift inside as we get this chalet ready for next summer. ☀️

Another week, another building site.

This one’s a SIP extension to an existing chalet, and you can see it coming together in the photos. Not everyone realises SIPs work just as well for extending a chalet as building one from scratch.
Steady progress, good weather and a site that keeps moving forward.
Follow along to see this one through to the end 👀

Things we notice as chalet builders that you probably don’t 👀

You see the mountain views, the big windows and the beautiful finishes.

We’re looking at what’s happening behind them.

🏔️ How the building is positioned for its environment
🪟 Where heat could be gained or lost
🏗️ How the structure is going to carry the load
🌡️ How the building will stay comfortable through Alpine winters
💨 How airtightness and ventilation work together
🧩 How all the different components will connect before anything is built

Because a great chalet isn’t just about how it looks.

It’s about how everything works together.

That’s the part we love.
