🪟🛏️🪑🚪

🗞️ - good to know:

🪑🎧- vintage furniture ain't just vintage anymore.

Heritage Soundsystem transforms familiar domestic objects into hidden sound systems. A kitchen cabinet, wall clock, crucifix, and sewing box retain their traditional appearance while containing integrated speakers and subwoofers.

The work explores translation, from object to sound, from function to perception, shifting the familiar into something unexpected.

Alexander Calder exhibition- Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris.

for Calder, movement is part of the work. he likes to make matter dance.

(my greatest richness: being able to show her the artworks she already knows through the books I read to her.)🤍🥹

simple, almost childlike forms, yet with a fascinating precision.

Imposing in their size, light in their presence.

his language is that of nature: curves, leaves, branches.. everything seems alive.

his sculptures have something deeply poetic about them.
they incite us to slow down and observe.

a delicate balance. everything holds together through an almost invisible equilibrium.

a few touches of red, black and white are enough to make the whole space vibrate.

suspended in the air, his works change with every step. every angle reveals a new composition.

Calder sculpted the void as much as metal. the shadows extend his work and become an integral part of them.

more than a sculpture, Calder draws a space.

everything seems to hold together by miracle, with incredible delicacy.

between leaves, stars and planets, his forms seem to float between earth and sky.

Calder reminds us that an artwork can be monumental without being heavy, delicate without being fragile.
