We’d also like to say a big WELCOME to all our new followers, we hope we can build a really wonderful connection with you all! 🤍✨
For those that recently start following ATELIER, here is a little bit about us.
ATELIER BRANCO & FAIRLEY is an award winning interior design consultancy specialising in high-end Interior Design, founded by Interior Designer and Architect duo Victor Branco and James Fairley. With different academic backgrounds and life paths, Victor and James came together to form the core of Atelier Branco & Fairley in 2014.
James studied Architecture at the Queens University Belfast and The Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow where he completed his Masters in Architecture before working in commercial practice in Switzerland, Malaysia and the UK for 15 years. James is one of the judges on BBC Northern Ireland’s House of the Year.
Victor was born in Mozambique where he spent his childhood before moving to Portugal in his teens. After completing a degree in Fine Art at ESAD Lisbon, Victor moved to the UK in 2001 to study Interior Architecture at the Belfast School of Architecture and Built Environment at The University of Ulster, graduating with a 1st class BA honours in 3D Design (Product, Furniture and Interior Design). Following his degree Victor lectured in Interior Design at the Belfast School of Architecture and Built Environment at The University of Ulster before establishing Atelier Branco & Fairley with James.

The beautiful and whimsical powder room in our Cultra Project. Inspired by American Folk Art, this wall mural invite us walk through a magical world, from a lively river bordered with wild flowers to a tree growing giant pears and a whole dance of mythical creatures along the way.

Sneak peek of our latest South Belfast Project.✨
A stunning contemporary extension added to the rear of an elegant ‘Arts and Crafts’ home in the heart of the Malone Conservation area and designed in collaboration with , Belfast. Working closely with our clients, we also designed the kitchen concept and all the joinery packages for this wonderful family home.
Warm oaks are complemented by bronze metal finishes and beautiful brushed brass elements, while stylish light features grace the open plan living and kitchen spaces.✨

Nestled on the shores of Carlingford Lough, this stunning contemporary property was a dream to work on. 
We were appointed from the very early stages of the project, before ground was broken and worked closely with our clients, architect and contractor to create a dream forever home for our lovely clients. 
The brief was to not replicate the usual contemporary white box, rather a home that marries contemporary architecture with luxurious and elegant interiors which reflected the owners personalities and lifestyle. 
It was a pleasure to work with our clients who gave us total  creative freedom to craft a home that radiates allure, opulence and elegance. 
As a response to the properties location and encompassing principles of balance, interest, and unity, we drew our inspiration from the captivating surroundings of Carlingford Lough, with subtle nods to the beachside location without being overly themed.
Each and every detail across this project was meticulously curated, embedding deep dedication to excellence and a relentless pursuit of perfection. Only the most exceptional pieces were chosen showing our constant commitment to quality and excellence, setting the stage for a narrative of contemporary luxury and refined aesthetics. Certainly this impactful, bold design makes for a memorable home.

A symphony of sophistication where exceptional craftsmanship meets opulent materials and finishes. Rich woods paired with warm metal accents, hand painted and embroidered custom silk panels, statement lighting, beautiful stones and marbles all add rich layers of sophistication, elegance and luxury to this stunning Penthouse.

kicking off the week with our Coastal Home Project 🙂
Our clients for this beautiful Coastal home set us the brief of creating a laid back, luxurious home which was sophisticated and elegant, yet one which was still suitable for a young and energetic family.
Quiet tones, refined textures and elegant finishes help to create an understated luxury which is both sophisticated and timeless. A cohesive and considerate design approach with an elegant aesthetic fulfils our client’s brief. We designed all the built-in joinery, also all the upholstery and case goods for this project with our client’s young children in mind, making sure that the furniture in the main family spaces had soft corners, avoiding sharp edges and used performance, easy to clean fabrics and rugs.

We worked with our client and their contractor from breaking off ground on this stunning family home, seeing the project through from initial design sketches through to turn-key completion and handover.

Looking back at the FF&E installation and all of the finishing touches for our ‘Lough Shore House’ project which was awarded ‘Best Design project of 2024’ at the Awards.

It’s always exciting and stressful as we near the completion date of any project, but it’s certainly the most enjoyable part of the process as we finally get to see our custom designs and all the beautiful products that we have sourced for months being installed. It takes a brilliant team, from the contractor to designers and installers to transform plans and drawings into the beautiful interiors they were intended to be, but seeing the designs and our vision coming to life is always the best part🥰
