A little Christmas escape with Mrs Bloom.

Take a couple of hours out of the December madness and join me for an afternoon of Christmas wreath making.

We’ll work with beautiful seasonal foliage, including locally grown greenery, berries, eucalyptus, dried flowers and natural seed heads, creating a wreath that’s completely your own.

There’ll be Christmas music, plenty of festive treats, tea and coffee, lots of chatting and of course, a little bit of sparkle if that’s your thing.

You’ll leave with a beautiful handmade wreath for your door and hopefully feeling a little more Christmassy too.

No previous wreath-making experience needed. I’ll guide you through it step by step.

Spaces are limited, so bring a friend, mum, sister or come along and meet some fellow Christmas and flower lovers.

Book your place and give yourself a little Christmas time. 🎄

Come join me, Mrs. Bloom on Sunday 6th December and learn how to make your own festive wreath to take pride of place on your front door.

All materials and tools are provided, including a moss wreath base and locally grown foliage such as soft aromatic Nobilis fir, ivy berries, holly and beautifully scented eucalyptus. Wreaths can be traditionally decorated with natural seed heads, pine cones, cinnamon sticks, orange slices and lots more. Or, if you prefer a bit of bling, there will be bright baubles and other sparkly bits to choose from. All topped off with a beautiful seasonal bow.

December is a busy month so why not take some time out for yourself to get crafting, chatting and enjoy some Christmas cheer!!

Tea/coffee and Christmas treats will be provided throughout.

A random photo of sweet sungold tomatoes in amongst the flowers.

Why, I don’t hear you ask 😉…. well let me tell you anyways.

Growing food is where it all started and I still teach food growing in my community horticulture classes, I just don’t grow as much for myself anymore which is a little bit sad.

Picking these tomatoes gave me a real lift today and it’s made me want to get back to a little bit of food growing for the family. So hopefully in 2027 there’ll be more of a mix of food and flowers on the grid.
