Ash trees, and Ash dieback? Does this mean the tree is done for and does it have to be removed?

NO not always!!!!

A huge part of working in Arboriculture and a key forgotten priority is preserving trees, preserve life! I the owner of Murphys tree service have never been afraid to look at a healthy tree and tell you when no action is required. I need to earn a living yes, but I'm not here to take the p**s out of good people and butcher good trees for no reason!

Ash trees can survive Ash dieback depending on the stage they are at.
Murphy's tree service was one of the first companies to work with diseased Ash with the goal of extending their life. Some of the first Ash trees with dieback, we worked with around 10 years ago are all still alive and have been pruned since. Back then we spoke with tree surveyors and we decided the future of ash trees was to preserve where safe to do so and preservervation again became a more common practice by many of the better companies.

There is a lot of tree cutters out there, but are they arboricultural workers? Do they care about the future of your trees? Do they care about their clients? We are from the older generation of tree workers, we have worked heavily in forestry rehabilitation, and hammered on this as a trade, not a way to make a quick buck and b**r tokens .

Book in with a company that cares about our customers and prioritises life.

Thank you for many years of support and repeat business.

Ben assisted my team for a good few years in private and commercial work, Ben had alot of knowledge and day to day was great crack and a gentleman to be around, some great laughs were had working with him. there is few tree men of his generation left still working, it was a pleasure to have known Ben and thoughts are with his family

Mechanical Hedge cutting Is permitted from start of September, it is cost effective for larger areas and faster. If you have a small countryside property 1 acre of above, why not ask for a quote? Might save you a fair penny.

Hi All

For anyone who is ringing ourselves, we have put a spam screening service on the work phone, this is due to getting up to 10 spam calls a day from false mobile numbers.

When calling you will be asked to say your name and why you are calling. It will go to voicemail if I can't answer. The service will show me the information you give on screen before I answer so I know it is indeed a valued potential customer.

Sorry for any inconvenience, but spam calls are rapidly increasing. This call filter service is available on all modern Samsung phones and ipones

Did i get your attention???😝
Murphys Tree Service ltd is waking up, out of the summer slumber and getting ready for the nesting season ending.
We are experts and correctly managing woodlands,
- to preserve them long term,
- remove fallen, damaged, diseased or dead trees,
-Clean the ground and take control of scrub and,
-thinning.
Although the video shows a head being removed to reduce the height for the fell, this tree had a slight lean and the risk of hitting an oil tank phone line or house. It is just not worth skipping an hour of preparation. The tank, phone line and house are just out of the camera shot. Anyway it got you reading didn't it?
Unlike what I see becoming more common, I will never advise you cut every tree in half in a plantation, to steal your hard earned money. We have a forestry work back ground and we are often sent to specialists areas where veteran workers are required for limited to zero impact in heritage or historic areas, that a fresh operator just hasn't the experience for.

Ash dieback management, we will advise on recovery of ash trees where possible and advise when an ash is just past it and has to be removed.

1ST OF SEPTEMBER marks the end of the nesting season, so tractor hedge cutting which saves you a boat load of money is permitted.

Give Murphy's Tree Service ltd a call for woodland management, tree removal and storm damage removal. Murphys tree service ltd has operated within CoDown for 12 years independently, we are trusted government contractors as well as trusted within the community, we are productive and have a range of heavy and light machinery. All prices are final, if we run over the agreed job by a day thats our problem unless agreed differently.

We are at a stage we reduce the work we carry out in summer to help show our support for the local environment and because we are just getting to many grey hairs for wearing blooming saw trousers in that heat.

If we can help you this winter get dialing inside standard business hours 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. This is not the onsite times, if I don't answer, send a text. September on gets busy, first 3 weeks in September are already booked, dont wait, get calling.

Want a part time job that might become permanent?
No training? Want a career and maybe even long term work?
We are looking for a new fresh staff member to become part of the team and furniture. Some one we can pass old world almost dead experience onto. Give me a call have a chat.
