đșOne of my favourite things about a home is filling it with pieces that actually mean something.
I still have wonky little pots I made at school (theyâre definitely more sentimental than symmetrical đ), and of course the clay handprints from when the kids were both 8 weeks old. Every time I see them, they remind me of a moment in time that I can literally touch.
I think thatâs why Iâve always loved handmade ceramics. Whether itâs something youâve made yourself or a piece youâve collected, it brings so much more personality into a home than something mass-produced ever could. It tells a story.
So when invited me along to one of their workshops, it felt like such a lovely fit with everything I bang on about here. Their upcoming masterclass with ceramic artist Alice Walton is open to everyoneâeven if youâve never touched clay beforeâand youâll make your own unique decorative wall sconce or plaque to take home.
If youâve ever fancied giving ceramics a go, or youâre looking for ways to add unique, handmade touches to your home, come join me! This looks like such a lovely place to start
Iâll be sharing my own experience after Iâve been, but if youâd like to book onto this one (or have a look at their other workshops), Iâll leave the links in my stories or check out Fishponds Pottery đ€
