Small lime render job that looked straightforward on paper… until the real challenge showed up: getting all the rubbish out without launching myself into the skip with it.

Full 3‑coat lime render system at the client’s request (bead also at the client’s request).
Done over multiple visits to let the lime cure properly and keep everything crack‑free — slow and steady wins the race with this stuff.

Internal lime render patch‑up and skim.

At the client’s request, this Grade II listed property needed repairs to a number of tired areas. In an ideal world the whole wall would have been taken back and fully redone, but that wasn’t within budget, so we agreed on a sensible middle ground. We removed only what was absolutely necessary, with some sections going back as far as 70mm.

Because of the depth and the nature of lime, the work had to be carried out over multiple visits to let each coat cure properly and avoid cracking or crazing. A bit more time, but the only way to do it right.

Right then… my self‑imposed lazy social media ban has officially been lifted, so I’m kicking things back off with a little 24‑hour giveaway.

The posts have slowed down, don’t panic, I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth.
I’m just running a small business, raising a newborn, keeping the family ticking over, trying to have a social life, assisting with the general running of a local football club, and doing all the other bits required to pretend I’ve got my life in order.

I know full well no one’s sat there refreshing the page like it’s transfer deadline day. Most people probably haven’t even noticed - and that’s sound. But for those of you that have, and for everyone still here for the come up, still supporting even when things go a bit quiet online - big respect. Here’s something to remind you we’re still about.
