A few flowers just about hanging on in there! Roses have been amazing this year, onto their second flush and not really bothered about the lack of water or high temperatures! Herbs also doing well, fennel, oregano and mint for amazing scent.

This hot weather and no rain is likely to be the new normal for us now so we must adapt. The last few years I’ve been moving away from annuals and keeping an eye on which plants don’t seem to mind the heat/drought. Scabious, achillea, daisies, grasses, strawflowers, limoniam, echinops, guara, oregano, daucus etc are definitely doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

Flowers, lakes, sunshine. So beautiful.
