Don’t Panic! I am here to make my weekly post! It’s late owing to me just forgetting what day it is.
Not to worry, we all get a little forgetful sometimes. A warning to all of you now the evenings are getting darker. Watch out for cars with tow bars! My right shin found one the other day and I can assure you, tow bars are not soft or bendy.

So, what have I been up to? I’ve been fitting higher security locks to UPVC doors, including some thumb turns. Did you know thumb turns are more useful than you think. For starters, if you need t get out in a hurry, you don’t need to find a key. Second, if you have someone who likes to lock the door while you’re out and they leave the key in the lock, you might not be able to get in. With as Thumb turn, you cannot leave a key in the lock on the inside. Problem solved 😊

I’ve got a Fiat 500 back on the road, turns out the cars earth strap was faulty. I identified the faulty, popped a new earth strap on and the car started. Made a spare key for it too. Opened an Audi Q2 too, keys in boot ... or were they! No keys for some French doors? No problem, locks out and new ones in within a 10 mins. I enjoyed that job. More thumb turns.
2 replacement center cases, both had failed. One door was open and could not be locked. The other was locked and could not be opened; that is until I arrived 😊 Door opened and center case replaced.

A lock out where a lady went out for a delivery and accidentally closed the door behind her. I had her in the house within 2 minutes of arriving and I’ve even fitted as new handle so lockouts cannot happen again.
I’m very much looking forward to another week – Another week closer to employing my new employee! SCARY!

A simple swap to a 1* cylinder could be enough to stop a potential criminal from entering your homes.

The first picture was the place where a key box contained a front door key - Stolen!

The second picture is a new 1* lock fitted to the door with the stolen key.

If you have a small key box,
Remember that’s all that’s protecting your home! Search for police approved key safes such as Burton XL or Arc TAMO.

But Dave! Why are you awake at 05:30 when you have been working so late?

I have an old cat that has become very loud! I don't like shutting him in the back (cat flap available) so I've been leaving the door open. Big mistake! 2 days at 05:30 the cat yowls while climbing the stairs.

Anyway - Potential good news, I've now got a LTD Company set up and I'd like to see if any of you can guess the name. :)
