This room seems transformed after plastering. It’s amazing what a difference plastering can make.

There was a little loose render on a wooden lintel with spans the window. This lintel was fully exposed and plasterboarded prior to skimming, meaning it’ll be strong and stay fresh for years to come.

I really enjoy the mix of old, period fixtures and the modern sleekness of smooth walls and crisp corners.

Nice and simple makeover for this wall.

I’ll be tackling the tired stair wall tomorrow

This was a simple enough job, after the customer removed all the wallpaper, it was apparent that the ceiling was pristine and in no need of a skim.

The walls were in excellent condition with only minor render damage. Chases were filled and the wood around the window was removed and plasterboarded for a simple and modern finish.

All ready for the built in wardrobes

First time really getting stuck into some out door rendering.

Very pleased with how this old Victorian wall turned out.

Loose render hacked off, re beaded and rendered with a lovely match up to the original textured finish

Here’s a bedroom skim from last week. These customers had overboarded the ceiling themselves and had done a good job of it. Saving me time and them money.

Also looked after me with plenty of tea and home made cookies.

So thank you very much.

As per usual, I forgot to take ‘before’ pictures. But also as per usual, it’s a clean and tidy job.

It goes without saying, but old houses have old walls. These Lathe and Plaster walls have plaster on them as old as your property. Sometimes, they can be patched up, but this one was beyond repair.

Easily ripped out and reboarded. Replacing these walls with fresh plasterboard and securing them with plenty of strong screws will increase the lifespan and give that new plaster a solid background for many years to come.
It’s quicker and cleaner than you may think.

If you’ve got any lathe and plaster walls in your home that need more love than just lining paper , give me a call on 07592993696

Thank you

This job was prepared for me by the customer. This can save a plasterer time in theory and therefore save the customer a little money. However, everyone has their own way of prepping a job and with differing standards in preparation. It also requires a lot of trust for a plasterer to have faith that the customer has prepared it properly.

I know these customers very well and the preparation is always absolutely spot on.

So thank you to them for giving it the time and for giving me an easy day.
