Trying to normalise a quick installed snap of the camera for Instagram again. Simple work in progress at the time rather than everything constantly being staged.
But tonight I have been working on a new pair of stays with a hand printed heart design. I am manically sewing trying to get as much made as possible ahead of Broken Heart Bazaar on the 17th of October!! So if there is a particular item you want to see make sure to let me know and I’ll try and add it into my production queue. 🖤🖤

September ended up being quite a busy and emotional month so I just wanted to give you a little life update with where we are at. Please excuse the tv noise in the background 😂

For the last few months (and in all honesty this has taken me far longer than expected, as I struggled to juggle all my different projects at once) I have been working behind the scenes on re drafting our stays pattern for plus sizes. I have worked on redrafting the pattern from scratch, comparing the shape to if I had just continued grading the original pattern up, tested the fit on our 50% size 22 stand, made fit adjustments, and then tested the pattern on a 3D avatar. And I think I am finally happy with the fit. However I will say that nothing beats fitting on a real person and getting real live feedback. No matter how good technology gets it doesn’t ever beat the real thing.

And so I am on the hunt for a plus size fit model, no previous experience, as I will guide you through the fitting process.

I am ideally looking for someone around a size uk 22-24 ideally in or around Milton Keynes/ willing to travel or do a video call (although for this you will likely need a second pair of hands)

If you are interested and want more information please send me a DM or comment “fitting” under this post so we can chat 🖤

If you know someone you think would love to get involved please send them my way!

I am desperate to get the plus sized range out, but I can’t do it without you. After all it deserves to be right ⚔️

I have been taking a little break from sewing to go back to my other love and brought my fine liners out of retirement (it feels an age since I last just sat down to draw.) So let me introduce you to the Lady of Albion, inspired by some of my favourite lady’s of history from Æthelflæd to Matilda ⚔️👑.
She still is a long way from finished but I am hoping to have the original and prints with me to my Halloween events in October

Unfortunately we will no longer be trading at 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓦𝓱𝓲𝓶𝓼𝔂𝓖𝓸𝓽𝓱 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓴𝓮𝓽✨Alt Market for the*:⟡ῳɛıཞɖ & ɱąɠıƈąƖ⟡:* on the 26th of September.
My grandfather sadly passed earlier this month and his funeral falls the same weekend as the market, so I will of course be spending the day with family.

I hope you all have a wonderful time, and I hope to see you at one of the 2027 whimsy goth events.

My next in person market will be the Broken Heart Bazaar on theBroken Heart Bazaarich is my old Uni stomping grounds so I am very much excited to be heading back down that way!!

I thought I should actually share something, to show that I am actually working away behind the scenes even if I continuously forget to post 🤦🏼‍♀️ lately I have been working back on developing the plus sized blocks. This has taken me far longer than I had hoped (which is mostly down to having a brain who constantly wants to start work on the next project before finishing the last. And also making sure online orders got out in time, and trying to keep up with market stock. So for that I can only apologise! I won’t go into too much detail about the process but know it involved lots of spreadsheets, lots of maths, grading the originals stays up, redrafting from scratch, comparing the two patterns and lots of cursing that I no longer have access to VERY expensive very good industry standard software. Then scaling everything down to 50% and testing and tweaking on the stand.

This first draft is very rough but over all I think I am happy with how the fit is coming together. Next step is getting the amended pattern back into the computer, scaling it back up and measuring back up.
