ANOTHER CRACKING REVIEW FROM A CRACKING CUSTOMER!

A massive thank you to Steve and Jane for trusting us to refurbish your new bungalow!

What started off as a bathroom refurbishment soon turned into a whole lot more!

First, we knocked the chimney down from the roof right through to the floor. Then it was on to the kitchen refurbishment, and before we knew it, we were ripping out all the old skirting boards and door frames and replacing them with beautiful oak door frames, doors and skirting boards.

Honestly, I thought Steve and Jane were never going to let us leave! But when a job keeps growing and the customers keep trusting you with more work, you know you must be doing something right!

The finished bungalow looked absolutely amazing, and it was brilliant to see all the hard work come together.

The tower scaffold is now set up and we’re starting to grind out the existing mortar from the upper section of the property. Once prepared, the walls will be thoroughly cleaned and repointed to give the property a fresh, durable finish.

MAKE HAY WHILE THE SUN SHINES… THEY SAY!

Another job for a returning customer, and it’s always a great feeling when customers come back to us for more work.

This time they gave us a call after their old torch-on felt roof had started leaking again. It had already had a few repairs over the years, so unfortunately it had definitely reached the end of its life.

Rather than keep throwing repairs at an old roof, we stripped it right back and did it properly.

🔨 Removed the old torch-on felt
🔨 Removed the old plywood sheets
🔨 Installed new T&G OSB boards
🔨 Installed the GRP fibreglass trims
🔨 Applied the fibreglass matting and first coat
🔨 Just the final top coat to finish it off

And there’s an added bonus… next door’s roof is also GRP, meaning once both are finished, it will effectively run as one continuous GRP roof with no joints between the two.

And here’s the bit we’re particularly proud of…

We were around HALF the price of some of the other firms that quoted for the job — but we haven't cut corners or compromised on the quality of the materials or workmanship.

We believe you shouldn’t have to pay a fortune to get a job done properly.

🚨😂 WELL… THAT WALL DEFINITELY AIN’T GOING ANYWHERE NOW! 🧱💪

JOB COMPLETE! 👌

This wall was originally 4" out of level and leaning so badly it looked like it was trying to get out of the garden! 🤣

Safe to say the old wall had absolutely had enough — so we gave it the send-off it deserved! 💥😂

We ripped the old wall out, broke out the dodgy footing and started again properly:

💥 Old wall demolished
⛏️ Old footing broken out
🏗️ New concrete footings installed
🔩 Rebar drilled in for extra strength
🧱 Wall rebuilt 3 courses high
💪 Middles filled with concrete — solid as a rock
⬆️ New coping stones fitted
🚧 New fencing installed

And look at it now… STRAIGHT, SOLID & READY FOR BUSINESS! 😎

The old wall was leaning so much we nearly had to ask it which way it wanted the telly pointing! 😂😂

From “I’m off!” to “You’re not moving me an inch!” 💪🧱

🚨 ANOTHER LEAK SORTED! 🚨

Had a call from a customer on Thursday afternoon asking if I could pop out and have a look at a leak affecting him and his neighbours. 💦

They’d had a water main leaking for a while, so Thursday night we got stuck in, dug it out and exposed everything to see exactly what was going on.

We called back this morning, got the problem fixed and then filled everything back in and left it all tidy. 👌🏼

Safe to say, the customer and his neighbours were chuffed to bits to finally have it sorted! 🙌🏼

The customer was also kind enough to send me home with a few bits for me and the family as a thank you, which was really appreciated. ❤️

Honestly, you really don’t have to, but gestures like this mean a lot and are massively appreciated. It’s customers like these that make all the hard work worthwhile! 🤝🏼

Leak sorted, neighbours happy, customer happy… and Josh has even come home with a few treats! 😂🍻
