A modern barndominium in North Carolina, finished in Millboard Board & Batten+ cladding in Burnt Cedar.

The deep, charred tone gives the barn form a strong presence. Up close, the grain detail reads like real timber. Warm cedar beams, a copper-toned roof and a traditional barn quilt complete the look.

A rooftop terrace above the River Thames, with one of the world's most iconic skylines as the backdrop 🇬🇧

Finished in Millboard Enhanced Grain decking in Ashwood, the space brings warmth and natural texture to a setting otherwise dominated by glass, steel and concrete. Planting throughout, ornamental grasses, olive trees and African lilies, softens the space further and gives it a quiet, secluded feel high above the city.

Exposed to the elements year-round, the terrace needed a decking solution that would hold its appearance without the maintenance timber could demand. Enhanced Grain delivers exactly that, so the focus stays on the view rather than the upkeep.

Last week, colleagues from across Millboard spent the day at Forest of Hearts, putting Live. Life. Outside. into practice 💚

The team built three medicinal gardens, filling planters with logs, garden waste and peat-free compost before selecting and planting species chosen for their medicinal properties. They also built bug and bee hotels to bring extra biodiversity to the spaces.

These gardens will now support Forest of Hearts' community groups, helping people learn about medicinal plants while supporting mental health and wellbeing.

A brilliant day out of the office, and a great chance for colleagues who don't usually work together to get stuck into something worthwhile as a team.

Thank you to Forest of Hearts for hosting us, and to our Chief People Officer, Bekkie England, for organising the day.

Floating over the water, this circular deck makes the most of its setting 🦆

A deck that curves right above the pond. Built in Millboard Enhanced Grain decking, Golden Oak, so the timber look holds up over water without the warping, splintering or slipping that real wood could bring.
