💛 Sometimes a change of scenery and a little company can make such a difference.

Social outings and companionship are such an important part of what we do at Devon Helping Hands, it isn’t always about care in the home.

Our wonderful Anne has been feeling a little down recently, so today we’ve done something a bit different. My boys and I are heading out to support a local memorial tractor run and, as Anne lives right along the route, it was the perfect opportunity to get her out of the house to enjoy some company, fresh air and all the tractors passing by. 🚜💛

And of course, the Devon Helping Hands children came along too! 🥰 Sometimes having youngsters around, sharing a laugh and simply being part of something happening in the community can really brighten someone’s day.

With Anne’s permission, we’ve taken a few lovely photos to share. 📸

• Potential for additional daytime hours if wanted

This could be perfect for someone looking for a few regular hours each week alongside other work or commitments.

Due to our increased workload, Devon Helping Hands Ltd is looking for another caring, reliable and compassionate Self-Employed Personal Assistant to join our small and friendly team.
🌙 EVENING ROLE – MAXIMUM 3–5 EVENINGS PER WEEK
The main requirement for this role is to provide regular evening/bedtime support, alongside helping us cover planned holidays and sickness when required.
You will need to be able to complete a minimum of 3 bedtime visits per working evening.
Duties may include:
💙 Personal care and bedtime support
💊 Medication prompting
🍽️ Meal preparation
☕ Companionship and reassurance
🏡 Light household tasks
🛏️ Helping clients settle safely and comfortably for the night
☀️ ADDITIONAL DAYTIME WORK MAY ALSO BE AVAILABLE
For the right person, there may be opportunities to pick up additional daytime visits, particularly to provide holiday and sickness cover or as our workload continues to grow.
We’re looking for someone who is:
⭐ Kind, patient and compassionate
⭐ Reliable and trustworthy
⭐ Confident working independently
⭐ Flexible when additional cover is needed
⭐ Committed to providing consistent, person-centred support
Essential:
✔️ Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
✔️ Self-employed or willing to become self-employed
✔️ Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one

✔️ Previous care/support experience preferred
