Floors completed in Bollongton, Macclesfield this week for a returning customer.
Conservatory floor had been tiled for many years and was solid so decided to tile over rather than remove them, grinding over them 1st to remove glaze and high spots before grit priming ready to tile.
Entrance hall floor was timber boarded so cement boarded over before priming and tiling.
Tiled both rooms following on from the 1/3 off set tile pattern in the kitchen, that I carried out in 2018. Couldn’t get the same tiles but these are the nearest match, just slightly lighter in colour but the same size at 1200 x 20 porcelain tiles.
Planning 1 door to fit and new door thresholds fitted

A lot of work went into this floor which is now completed in Nantwich.
After the customer removed the kitchen and existing tiles, this left 20mm of old broken loose cement, which I had to remove back to the sub floor.
After priming twice as it was so porous, 17 bags of self levelling was needed to raise the height and make the floor flat ready for tiling.
Returning 7 weeks later after the kitchen base units were fitted, to tile it using 20mm limestone flags which were 500mm wide and several sizes in length at 600mm, 800mm, 850mm and 900mm in a random pattern.
Pre sealed prior the grouting, using a limestone coloured grout, then sealing twice once the grout had dried the following day.

Outside area floor recently completed in Haslington.
Been down many years and very uneven so 1st job was to grind all the high spots and paint off and make it a bit less bumpy, then priming before using 5 bags of exterior self levelling compound to flatten it all off.
Primed again before tiling with porcelain tiles.
Bit of rain stopped play so had to sheet up to keep floor and me dry!

Recently completed in Congleton in a new build property.

En-suite walls - paint removed and primed, tiled using mainly 300 x 600 porcelain tiles with a blue metro tile edging, using mid grey grout and brass coloured trim.

Kitchen walls - paint removed and primed, tiled using 150 x 300 ceramic tiles, using a light grey grout and brushed steel trim.

Bathroom tiled in Bramhall last week.
Walls sanded to get rid of the paint before priming and waterproof tanking the shower area.
Tiled in a brick effect using 300 x 600 porcelain tiles, which had a slight bow so tile levelling clips had to be used to get them as flat as I could so no lips between tiles.
Using chrome tile trim and limestone grout, 3 coats of grout protector also used in the shower area.

En-suite recently completed in Poynton. Lots of preparation / repair work needed including replacing lower 1/2 walls, making new pipe boxing, removing all the existing paint off the walls and trying to alleviate the massive hump in the door wall.
All primed and the shower area waterproof tanked.
Tiled using 100 x 300 ceramic tiles in a brick bond pattern, black tile trim, light grey grout and finishing off with 3 coats of grout protector in the shower area.

Bathroom recently completed in Sandbach.
Bath area and window reveals waterproof tanked.
Walls tiled using 30 x 60 porcelain tiles, black tile trim and light grey grout, finished off with three coats of grout protector in the shower area. Floor cement boarded and tiled using 30 x 60 porcelain tiles and a dark grey grout.

Kitchen floor completed in Nantwich.
Removed the lino to reveal a very dusty floor that had a bit of self levelling stuck to it in places. Floor grinder out to remove the concrete latience and the levelling.
Primed and tiled using 30 x 60 polished porcelain tiles, using a light grey grout and matching door threshold strip.
Plinths removed and cut down and refitted.

Couple of jobs completed this week in Sandbach.
Kitchen and utility walls tiled using 100 x 200 ceramic tiles from PORCELANOSA, light grey grout and brushed steel trim.

Utility floor changed from laminate and tiled using 300 x 600 tiles including a tiled skirting, using a dark grey grout and brushed steel trim. Porcelain tiles from Topps Tiles, Nantwich.
