Just putting this out there, when i say im coming to do a quote this is FREE I dont charge for my time or fuel, and always try to get there with in time, but sometimes theres no signal a job runs over because I also have to do paid work, so to receive messages saying thanks for wasting 40mins of my time (I actually turned up and the neighbour said she was out) i can not plan my diary for a set time for FREE quotes. Rant over happy Saturdays

Another great transformation on this living room in stanley, media wall designed and built, wallpaper as a feature wall, aqustic pannels installed in the back of media wall and from grey to a light cream has made this room looking alot bigger and brighter enjoyed this one and the main thing is customers are over them moon thats what means the most to me

A £60 job isn’t £60 in your pocket.

This is something I wish I would’ve understood when they first get into a service business.

The customer sees you show up, do the work and leave.

They don’t see the drive time. The fuel. The time loading and unloading. The maintenance. The repairs. The insurance. The estimates you drove out to that never turned into jobs. The scheduling, invoicing, payment fees and taxes.

They definitely don’t see the money you have to set aside because eventually that drill, hammer, ladders, van, spanners or whatever you use to make money will need to be repaired or replaced.

That’s why you can’t build your prices around only the time the customer sees you working.

Your price has to pay for the business not just the job.

And there still needs to be profit left when everything is paid.

💥💥 due to time wasters and people with lack of funds, deposits Will now be taken, the deposit will cover at least one days labour and materials, Im a small business in a big pond, I never wanted to do this but with people cancelling last mintue after I have bought the materials I have no choice, most people will understand some wont but if you carnt afford the deposit how will you afford the total invoice 👀👀💥💥

Last weeks job was a job that had no damp Proof down which caused mushrooms to grown underneath, this made the floor boards at timbers to rot
Everything ripped out, new treated timbers installed, damp Proof Membrane, moisture resistant boards and new laminate installed, another happy customer
