Hawkinge Extension Progress 🧱☀️

Another big push on this extension project in Hawkinge, Kent, with plenty happening on site this week.

The walls are now up to DPC, with the A393 reinforcement mesh cage installed within the foundation trench to bridge an existing old soakaway, which sits approximately 300mm away from the new foundation.

The drainage is also installed and the oversite is now prepared and ready for the next stages — sand blinding, insulation and concrete floor slab. 💪

This one hasn’t been without its challenges. Working in the heat with extremely limited site access has meant that virtually everything has had to be moved by hand — materials, hardcore and equipment all having to come in and out through a restricted access route. 🥵

Hard work, but another stage completed and the build is really starting to take shape.
