A little look at what we've been working on recently… 👀

We returned to this beautiful property today to give our hand-sculpted oak-effect beams a second stain, and we couldn't resist taking a few photos of the finished space!

Our team created these beams entirely on-site using our specialist plaster-based mix, carefully hand-carving the grain, knots and splits to replicate the character of real oak.

The result? Beautiful rustic beams that bring warmth and character to this stunning open-plan kitchen and living area, without the need for real timber.

And yes… every single beam you see is made from plaster, not wood! 🤎

Have you always imagined real oak beams in your apex ceiling?

King trusses, A-frames and ridge and rafter arrangements can introduce incredible character - but sourcing, transporting and installing large structural oak timbers isn’t suitable for every project.

Our hand-sculpted beams offer a practical and often more cost-effective alternative.

We create each structure directly on site using lightweight timbers, we then use our specialist plaster-based mix to create the wood characteristics. Every grain, knot and split is carved by hand to recreate the natural character of aged oak, with the proportions designed specifically around the room.

The result is the warmth and architectural impact of exposed oak without the same weight, sourcing and lifting requirements - or the seasonal expansion and contraction associated with real timber.

Our non-structural beams can be created for:

• Apex and vaulted ceilings
• Statement king trusses
• A-frame structures
• Ridge and rafter arrangements
• New builds, extensions and renovations

We’re starting the week with a transformation that feels perfect for the autumn months 🍂

As the evenings become darker and we spend more time at home, many of us start thinking about ways to make our interiors feel warmer, cosier and more characterful.

This beautiful room originally had a completely flat, apex ceiling. To introduce architectural interest, a lightweight subframe formation was created, for our team to then apply our specialist plaster-based mix directly onto.

Every beam was individually sculpted by hand on site, with the grain, knots and splits carefully added to recreate the character of aged oak. There are no moulds or repeated patterns, so every beam is unique to the property.

As our beams are non-structural, they can be added purely for visual impact. This makes them a versatile option for existing homes, renovations, extensions and new builds that could benefit from a little more warmth and character.

We’re now booking our remaining 2026 installation dates, as well as projects for 2027.

Did you know our oak-effect beams can be added to an existing room?

They don’t have to be planned at the beginning of a build. Our replica oak beams are non-structural, making them a versatile option for renovations, retrofitting and bringing character to newer properties.

Every beam is created on site using our specialist plaster-based resin. We then sculpt every grain, split and knot entirely by hand - with no moulds, castings or repeated patterns.

Our beams can be used to:
